The Tony Clifton is my go to with Two Boots. They have a crust that is different from many NYC places. In a good way. $34 for a large pie. Yowza!
It's a specialty place, not a pizza shop, in the heart of expensive city, lol.
When we were working on the WTC and getting B'fast in the morning a B&E was $6.  This was 12 years ago too!
    Location, location, location.

We ended up finding a cart that was half the price.  Last time we went in that ripoff deli.

Basic large cheese pie where I live is $25. A BEC is $8!  But both are very good.

Yeah, shit is expensive.  By the time you add some pepperoni to the god damn pie a large costs $22-ish depending on the place.  If you order for delivery you getting tagged more.
A Sicilian is more...probably paying an extra $4-$5 with Pepp on that fucker.

    Sure is good, though.

say what you will about chains, but man, I grabbed a Domino's last night and I love it.

There is a time and place for Domino's. Like when you land at an airport and get to your hotel room starving at 12 am and there are no other options. Or if you are in the middle of nowhere and everything closes at 7pm. And I have to get their tiny soft wings with ranch and mango habanero dipping sauce even if I order a large pie. Last time ordered was near Norcross Georgia and the bill was like $56! Plus tip. But I was glad to have hot food.

But Crojam is 100% right about the output. You can still perceive those processed ingredients in the air. And maybe other places. TMI I know.
I don't have the same output issues with Domino's. haha. Maybe Canadian domino's is different.
We don’t have the mom and pop type pizzeria in our area and Dominos is our go to pizza. I find it good
I am the opposite. There are tons of local pizza places within a short walk from me. But no chains. There used to be this one Dominoes in my neighborhood. But it closed down. No need for it.

You live in the city correct? There should never ever ever be a need for you to have any chain pizza. And skip the $1.50 slices unless you have overindulged.
Yes. I live in Manhattan. I never do the $1.50 slices. The place I go to the most has $3-4 dollar slices depending on what you get. It is really good. I was in Seattle recently and there was a place that advertised New York style slices. It was $7.00 a slice. I told them that I have never seen a pizza place in NYC charge $7.00 a slice. That is crazy.

Yeah that happens. Even an artichoke slice by the highline is pricey. I know some NY folks will not agree, but I love Two Boots. The Tony Clifton is one of my favorite slices ever.  I miss their GCT location. It was perfect for the train. And they made great takeaway cocktails.
The Highline turned into a tourist trap and Gentrified the whole area so I can see that being a $7 slice around there.  It runs through Chelsea, Hudson yards and into the Meat packing district.  Nice places to eat but not exactly something I'd consider affordable.

I'd try that slice just because it's an Andy Kaufman homage!

I don’t know if you can read all these but some of their special slices are great.
This is a place I'd try once after reading the other slices.  Not much I would enjoy as I like traditional pizzas.

This is something I could picture in Williamsburg.

The Meg had me cracking up though.
If you read the middle of the menu you can create your own pizza. It’s called Two Boots for Italy and Louisiana. The sauce is slightly spicy and there is cornmeal in the crust. It’s really good. I usually order a small with red onion and artichoke.

The big pepperoni slice that I posted was $7.75. If you want a whole pie?
