I get a little anxiety when I post on. this thread because of the NY Pizza and Chicago people. I get it, your pizza is bar none. And I like it!!!!
If you haven't heard, North Carolina had been taken over by people from New York and now California for that matter. And.... pretty much any state. We have really good pizza now thanks to the New York infiltration of the 90s. This, is not one of those. But, I just wanted to plead my case. I went out for drinks and appetizers with my friends last Friday and this was our choice.
Tie dye Marg with La Bomba..
Margherita pizza with the drizzle (tie dye) and burrata cheese on side with spices/oils etc for dipping the crust. It was really tasty.
Pictures don't do it justice, but it was so good I had to post it!
For me, it's the burrata pulling me in. I am SO in love with burrata dishes right now!! And there are so many options for it. At a friend's party I tried this honey glazed carrots with burrata dish, and it was incredible. A modern italian place near me serves it with pickled cabbage, fennel, and prosciutto. I've made a roasted tomato, garlic, basil one. YUMMMMMMM. Oh, the pizza looks fine for thread integrity. I would normally go with crostini, but using pizza as a burrata vehicle works too!

The burrata was so smooth and creamy when I cut into it. That paired with the oils and spices were delightful. I think I'd be totally down with the prosciutto, pickled cabbage and fennel combo. Yum!
