Why are people starting a million different threads when there clearly are existing and active thread on The Porch about it.

So, so sad. A true talent. My thoughts and love to his family and friends. I feel privileged to have seen him live and he seemed on top of his game last few times. R.I.P Chris

    I'm all numb at work.
Leonard Cohen was the first time I was surprised how much a musicians death would affect me.

    This is on another level.

    This is so sad.

Damn, this sucks.  Hearts and thoughts for his family and friends.
I was just really getting into him in a new way and was excited to see him live next chance I'd get.

Damn terrible news. Really curious as to how Eddie and the rest of the band are going to handle this. He was like a brother to them and this is going to cut deep especially if the rumours are true on cause of death. I would completely understand if Eddie cancelled his tour though I would selfishly be disappointed.

Thought about this too. Or if some dates are cancelled due to the funeral or something...

I woke up to use the bathroom at 6am... when I was told he passed. I had an hour left of sleep, that didn't happen

just feel jolted.. sad and completely shocked

seen Chris walking around NYC many times, looking happy and content

seen soundgarden like 4-5 times since the reunion(front row lolla, last with NIN @ Jones Beach: awesome show)

    seen him solo 5-6 times

seen him pop up on stage with PJ( LA 2009, PJ20)

then Temple of the Dog paying tribute to the tragic demise of Andy..... NOW THIS, WTF

my favorite moment was  his last show I seen him at the Beacon when he brought his daughter out to sing with him.... that was spectacular

Just can't grasp this at all... I had a packed day of work today, gonna be difficult.

    RIP to an unreal Talent

hope his family finds peace :(

My husband just came and said he had bad news... when I asked him what, he said first he needed to hug me... This is heart wrenching news. I can't even comprehend... Chris has been one of my favourite musicians for so many years. I have been lucky to see him twice on his solo tours and they were both such moving experiences. My heart goes out to his family and friends x
You have got a good and sensitive husband to deliver the news like that. <3
