If one kid eats everything on their tray and 299 toss everything? Worth it.
Estimated 15 million ar-15's in america, 99.99% are responsible owners.  Worth it.  The statistics are actually in my favor.

Pro life until you’re born. 20% of US school age kids live below the poverty line and don’t eat 3 meals a day, with school provided food being the sole meal of the day. Studies show that well fed kids do better in school because they’re not constantly hungry. Never mind the nutrition and brain development aspect of it. But hey, need a pipeline to the prison industrial complex where we spend 8-10 times more on an incarcerated inmate than a elementary school student. ‘Murica, woot!
Can someone get me the name of the person who laid out the money to figure out well fed kids do better in school than kids who are constantly hungry? I have a bridge to sell them.
You don’t believe that? Have you ever been hungry? Had to live without knowing where or how your next meal comes from? Why do so many kick the poor? Spit on them? Have you no charity? Fucking kids, fuck them.
I love when you overreact to a post.  We seriously need to sit down and have beers on the next tour.  My point was, it is an obvious answer.  No shit kids who are hungry don't learn as much.   I mean that is like saying, it's negative 45 outside, you might be cold.  Wow here comes a category 5 hurricane, there might be rain and wind.  You are at a pearl jam concert, you could hear some pearl jam songs.
Then why the waste comments? Or my kids are well fed and play sports so who needs it? Fuck it’s like all you want to do is piss on those with less rather than help them? I really don’t understand the callouseness? It’s like telling those in Florida, fuck you deal.
Seriously, what the fuck are you talking about?  I am supposed to feel bad because my wife and I are successful and can afford to feed our kids and have them play sports?  Get off your high horse.  I seriously have no clue what you are talking about.  Yeah I don't want government interfering with what my kids eat at lunch.  I guess that makes me a bad person.
How about showing some semblance of sympathy?

Sympathy for what?  Free and reduced lunch have been around forever.

Sure... if the system was flush with all the items required to deliver a strong educational program. And sure... if the quality of the food was better than one might find in Unsung's underground bunker.

Pointing to the failings of a school lunch program sure takes the pressure off things like poor parenting, lack of strong social programs, or poor wealth distribution (among many others); however, schools cannot expect to fix the every failing of a society that is need of repair.

The fact that kids are showing up to schools without quality nutrition does not indicate a school system failure. It reveals a societal failure.

The band aid solution people are asking for is in place at the local levels. Just like many other areas of need, schools are doing their best to try and deal with the problems they face with what they have. Is it ideal? No. Of course not. But has the public made an investment where they should expect any type of return they can brag about? Hardly.

We don't have Golden Corrals up here. Sure... we might look slightly anorexic when we dine amongst you guys, but don't hold things like that (and our poor reading comprehension) against us. Instead... welcome us and be grateful that our tourist money is finding its way into the bank accounts of your 1%!

Del you know I have zero problem with you and I am sorry to lump all Canadians in there. But man, it gets old. I don’t like government dictating my kids lunch and all of a sudden I am the second coming of hitler. And the two usual suspects are the contributors.

You haven't said anything egregious. I'm not sure why you're being attacked to be honest. I agree that a lunch program should not be a staple of the school system. Saying this, I do feel that schools do need to be sensitive to some kids' needs and provide for them. I haven't heard you say anything contrary to this.

Pretty par for the course here.  Typical miserable people complaining about anything and everything.
The thinking around here is: if you are against mandatory vegetables at lunch you are against feeding children which makes you a nazi.
Yes we are talking about food but don’t you dare bring up that your children are in good shape and get plenty of exercise because school is meant for education!!!
these same people either don’t have kids, don’t teach in public education or don’t live in the us.

Instead... welcome us and be grateful that our tourist money is finding its way into the bank accounts of your 1%!

Fuck n A. How out of touch do you have to be? You sound like you’re in  bunker. So you have resources so screw everyone? Is that really it for you?

Out of touch? I have been a public school teacher on the front lines for 18 years. So I am thinking you might need to talk to someone. You are angry and draw some pretty crazy correlations and inferences.

That s the point bud. No one eats that shit but yet schools all across America were forced to make these switches. Like i said, I couldn’t believe the amount of waste in the garbage over the years.   what kids want to eat vegetables with lunch?  from my observation, not many at all.

Because owning guns is absolutely on par with feeding hungry kids
And you Canadians suck at reading because no one is discussing free and reduced lunch!!!!  Michelle Obama s new lunch program if anything left a lot of kids hungry.
God I hope all of you who preach how America is so bad  really put your money where your mouth is and don’t visit us. Please don’t come here.  The other millions upon millions of people visiting here will make up for you.

Yes, actually, some of us were discussing that very topic. Not sure why you didn't understand that, but guess you were focused on the guns instead.

It might be that you don't write as clearly as you think you do.

And no one gives a shit about where you think I should travel.

For the kid who doesn’t get to eat at home. Is it really that difficult for you to realize that? 20% of American kids live below the poverty line and maybe get one meal a day. At school. You? Your kids’ caloric intake and sports regimens make them healthy specimens. Fuck everyone else. We shouldn’t have schools feeding kids, there’s so much waste! Omg! Be healthy? Recommend better diets? Better food for school lunch programs? Get government out of my life! Must be nice to grow up with such models of charity, love and concern. But what if your a kid and that’s not your reality? Fuck McGruff, think about what you say and how what YOU have may not be the norm. For once.
