The president spelled “smoking” wrong twice in the same tweet this morning.
What? You've never heard of a smocking gun before. I hear everyone is using them in Texas.

Didn't we already know that from Cohen's guilty plea a month or so ago?  Recycling news.
From what I understand, the difference being that this time we have the prosecutors side of the story and not just Cohen's. The prosecution believes Cohen's plea and has corroborating evidence to back it up. We didn't know that before, so this is not recycled news.

Not surprising considering all the skirts they wear in Texas. Lyin Ted has a few himself.

And here's thing, despite what many others on these forums believe, I still have faith in our system, the checks and balances. If Team Mueller's report doesn't find impeachable offenses, highly unlikely in my mind, I'll accept it and we'll all move on. I take comfort that in two years, we'll have an election and our nightmare of a presidency will be over

I just don't see how on Earth you can say with such certainty that in two years, Trump will be out of the White House. I'm not saying it can't happen, because of course it could. But you talk like it's a foregone conclusion. I just can't believe there's STILL people like you that think  "Well this sideshow will be over soon and then we'll get back to normal." Think of how many people thought that during the summer of 2016? And while I didn't think that (I thought Trump was very real, and very dangerous from the moment he came down the escalator), I understood the point of view from those (like my father for example) that thought Trump's insane and had no chance to win. I totally get where you guys were all coming from. But you were wrong. And it's fine to be wrong once. But fool me once.....

There is a much larger body of poor work to be examined now. Tons of campaign ad fodder. There's so much that we've forgotten half of it. Previously, as a candidate, Team Trump Treason was under almost no scrutiny, from his "own" party to not releasing his tax returns. All of his failures were private business failures. He's going to have a tanking economy. the wall won't be built, unemployment will be higher, consumer prices will be higher and the deficit will be exploded. And that doesn't even begin to mention Team Mueller's report and the convictions, gulity pleas and Russian collusion, resulting in obstruction of justice and conspiracy. Team Trump Trerason will be hammered on these points. All you need is 9MM to 12MM voters to go from Team Trump Treason back to dems or "not Team Trump Treason." And the voting public will be more aware of the russian social media campaign and not be influenced by it as much. 2016 was an anomoly and without putin on the ritz's assist, Hillary is president. The cracks within the repub party and media echo chamber are already forming. Untenable.

I was believing what I was reading until the "Charles in Charge" reference.  But yeah, given the importance of loyalty to Trump, this is too believable to be an ideal social media joke.

I take it as a sign of a pretty full fledged mental breakdown, lol. At this rate, there will be no choice but to invoke the 25th. I think it's possible that Trump is going to completely meltdown psychologically before they ever get to impeachment proceedings.

 I think he just barely managed to keep it inside the line with the TV show reference. But this is hilarious - he absolutely knew how feasible this would sound, hahaha. Wow. What a time to be alive. :confounded:

That describes most Americans.  I guarantee you "doesn't like to read" is better for election chances than "likes to read."
That doesn't describe "most" Americans, I don't believe.  It probably describes "most" of his supporters.
I don't think this is true.  His supporters are quite literate in general.  They tend not to have college degrees, however.  And many of them resent those who do.  I think it has something to do with the perception that a college education is essentially a meal ticket.  As in, you didn't earn your way, it was given to you for a price.  In many cases, there's a lot of truth to that.
What is the truth in that? Getting a degree is hard work as well, particularly if it’s going to be in a field that directly assists you to get work.
well, my memory from college was a lot of complete bullshit degrees where you didn't even need to attend class to do well on the exams.  and of course, a 2.0 GPA earns the same diploma as a 4.0 GPA.  not saying all or even most degree programs are shit and everyone who attends college did nothing but party, but i understand where the stereotype comes from.
look i'm all about higher education.  i'm always trying to learn shit, so i'd consider myself a strong beneficiary of the university system.  but, i also had times where i was that slacker 2.0 entitled pos that i've come to resent myself.  just being a messenger here.
Well, then you have some pretty lax colleges in the US. Maybe no surprise there. That’s not a reflection on education, that’s a reflection on poor management, low standards and a focus on profits over quality.
Don't be snarky on the US college education system.  It's very good overall.  There's a reason people come from around the world to attend our post-graduate programs in particular.  From a Danish site..

Successful careers related to degrees earned perhaps? Research levels? Graduation rates? Tuition costs (the US would win that for sure)? I link would be great. ;)

Just FYI, people come from around the world to attend universities all over the world, so that in particular means nothing. Every developed country is packed with international students. What the USA does have that separates it from many other countries is a very wealthy private school system, wherein the "best" schools are for the rich and have managed to build (buy) themselves a reputation that is internationally known. This does indeed draw some actual geniuses and whatnot to them. However, I have known graduates from some of these schools. Take Harvard for example. I have known several Harvard graduates, and a good half of them said that they completely bullshitted their way through their degrees, and that the school is positively packed with people just using money and politics and connections to get that piece of paper that will set them up for life. The entire ivy league system is apparently FAR more corrupted than most people know.

And this sure doesn't happen only in the USA - any place that has private universities has a horrendous rate of this kind of shit. China, for instance, has crisis-level corruption going on in their institutions of higher learning. It's really really bad. And then there are all the public universities, also packed with students essentially buying their ways through school by full-on cheating. The cheating rates in any university are about 25 - 40% now, depending on the school. The students buy term papers, they invent elaborate ways to cheat for exams using technology, etc etc etc. Students from China and Korea are particularly bad with this and make up a big portion of these cheaters because of the crazy corrupted education culture that has grown in those countries paired with an intense pressure on students to get perfect grades. The university system on an international scale is in BIG trouble in these terms, and anything you ever hear about the success rates of institutions should always be taken with a big grain of salt.

I take it as a sign of a pretty full fledged mental breakdown, lol. At this rate, there will be no choice but to invoke the 25th. I think it's possible that Trump is going to completely meltdown psychologically before they ever get to impeachment proceedings.
I mean just imagine how a normal person would react if their son was indicted and facing jail time and you were partly (mostly) the reason. Now imagine that person is Donald Fucking Trump. He will lose whatever marbles he has left, try to pardon him, and thus be granted a one way ticket to impeachment.

Yeah, but I don't think it would be over his son. I don't think Trump has enough love or empathy for anyone, even his own son, to let their misfortune upset him that much, even if he was responsible. His breakdown will be about his own personal fortunes alone. Right now just the fear of potentially losing what popularity he has with his idiot fans is what's driving him most nuts. If he can't get people to come and adore him at rallies, he'll have nothing to live for, lol.

Yeah but the son has his name. So his son represents the brand/fortune to him. So, yeah, it's probably not about some level of love between father and son but more having to do with his brand being flushed down the toilet. A big orange turd swirling and swirling down the toilet bowl...haha

Mooch defending Team Trump Treason’s 62% turnover in the first two years as nothing to be concerned about and the stock market volatility is inherent to systemic flaws and not Team Trump Treason. Unbelievable.
