    It doesn't actually answer your question, though, particularly as regards to what happened when Obama was POTUS. We already knew about the temporary security clearance because that's what Porter and most of the others have. It's a fairly low bar to hop over; you just need to not have a criminal record and a few other things. It's the actual permanent security clearance that matters, and that question is quite a bit more complicated. It goes through non-WH agencies (FBI, etc.) but in the end apparently the POTUS can elect to give security clearance if he chooses even if it is not granted in the usual process.

    Obama had the gall to surround himself with dedicated, experienced career politicians.  Many of them likely had security clearance before Obama's election.

    This is the point that never gets brought up to the level it should. The WH is Romper Room right now. It's comical.

    I don't keep thinking anything. I'm trying to get to the bottom of it. Like I have stated many many times, I didn't follow american politics that closely until a couple years back, so I'm just trying to discern fact from hysteria. that is all. 

    I was freaking out when trump got elected. I have since calmed down and am just trying to ask questions to figure shit out for myself. it's funny how people scream "EDUCATE YOURSELF!", but when you try, you're fucking stupid. you can't win.

    Well it's also so stupid because it sounds like people did indeed have their eye on this guy. He was expelled, and in his new school there were actually emails sent to everyone about him, etc. People were aware of his issues.... it's just that the system gives them no recourse until it's too late. You can't just tell cops that you're worried about someone. It's not like the cops can arrest someone before he's committed a crime. And god knows they can't keep people from buying guns if they have no record or anything.
