Again, you can't seem to be able to differentiate between a congressional investigation, political (witch hunt) and a special counsel's investigation, criminal (due process). That the FBI was provided with a document from another source that claims to have investigated many of the same claims as the Steele Dossier, provides Team Mueller with the impetus and the evidence he needs to pursue leads. What Team Mueller has discovered, we do not know. However, the fact that Team Mueller's investigation is "ongoing" would indicate that the allegations in the Steele Dossier and the Shearer Memo have legs. Too close for comfort, eh comrade? My money's on Team Mueller. Where are your rubles, eh? Not in my pocket, however.

I think the RNC's internal polling showed that Team Trump Treason was the only candidate that could beat Hillary, but by such a slim margin, well below the sampling error %, that they signed a deal with the Devil. Think about it. The Steele Dossier wasn't released prior to the election (The contents of the dossier were published in full by BuzzFeed on January 10, 2017.[4]), the affair with Stormy Daniels was suppressed and all the dirty laundry that Team Trump Treason possessed wasn't aired during the primaries. Instead, one by one, the other repube candidates meekly withdrew and didn't sound any withering criticism. Almost as if they wanted Team Trump Treason to appear "victorious" and as a "vanquisher" going into the general election. But, because the winning % was too close, they couldn't leave anything to chance, hence the Russian collusion. That and a PTape is what wrote history. The RNC and certain repube members of Congress are complicit in the collusion and ensuing cover up. Team Mueller will sort it out.

And don't forget the record number of repube resignations ahead of the mid-terms when you'd think they'd be doing their victory laps and gearing up for 2020. They know what's eventually on the horizon and how it'll set.

All we can do is wait and see...

The distraction is an attempt to discredit what Mueller is likely to find.  If the GOP can plant enough seeds of doubt as to the credibility of the FBI, etc. then the upcoming nuclear bomb that Mueller is going to drop can be disputed.

And.... Rosenstein oversees Mueller. Sessions recused himself.  So only Trump can fire Mueller,  other than Rosenstein.  So the House GOP is trying to discredit Rosenstein so he can be fired.  Then a loyalist can be installed who will either end or control the investigation. The other strategy would be to fire sessions.  But that's less likely.  Firing Mueller directly is too perilous for Trump.

Let's not be naive to this plan.  It's fairly transparent .

I'm not a tax lawyer but I would be surprised if the statute was longer for FICA vs income tax.  Either way,  the post was bs since JC isn't aware that tax evasion isn't the same thing as money laundering.

My understanding is that civil evasion has no statute.  Criminal evasion does.  I'm not aware of any crime that has no federal statute , although possibly treason.  Murder has no state statute in all states I believe.  I don't know if there's a federal murder statute unaffiliated with civil rights type cases . I may be wrong on all of this.
