Yeah, these are the kinds of things that everyone has to keep top of mind. These sinister tactics that truly do parallel the likes of Hitler and Orwell novels. This shit is real, not hyperbole, not paranoia. It's fucking happening.... I feel like a lot of people are ignoring this stuff because it seems unimaginable in this day and age, but that isn't keeping these freaks from doing it anyway. These are the kinds of tactics that just kind of worm under the skin without the masses really noticing, and before you know it, everything has changed.

I agree that these types of things are very serious and that people sometimes shrug them off thinking 'there's no way...'

Tumultuous times. The Repubs keep nananaboobooing Democrats thinking they are just sore losers. I don't see this as the case at all. Bush was brutal, but the backlash he received wasn't anything at all like the backlash shitface is receiving. It wasn't even in the same dimension.

Trump is facing extreme criticism for very good reason.

And the Cult, which is roughly a third of the country, won't see it coming...won't believe it until they (and we) are anchored under water, fruitlessly reaching for the surface.  Up until that moment, they'll still be doing a touchdown dance about their victory, oblivious to what's actually come from it.

This is exactly what I am thankful for!
Finally we can criticize a president and not be called a racist(or sexist, thank heavens!). Its refreshing to be able criticize a potus and flotus without being called derogatory names! Am I the only one thankful for this?
Unfortunately for most on here, most in the MSM and most Dems, the criticisms are misdirected. There are 100s of things to truly gripe about but the ones we see and hear most often are not the criticisms that matter.

But I do agree that while there are just SO MANY things to criticize, some of the more complicated things, such as details in legislation and executive orders, can get overshadowed by the daily onslaught of terrible behaviour on Trump's part..... I can't believe how fucked up it is that what I just said is true.

    From CNN:

    Is Donald Trump losing control?

In the space of last 48 hours, Donald Trump has:

    1. Retweeted three anti-Muslim videos from a far-right group based in Britain.
    2. Sent two tweets not only using the firing of NBC's Matt Lauer to bash so-called "fake news" but also to spread innuendo about NBC News head Andy Lack and "Morning Joe" anchor Joe Scarborough.
    3. Called Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren "Pocahontas" at an event honoring Navajo code talkers.
    4. Not denied repeated reports that he now believes the "Access Hollywood" tape is somehow fake and that President Barack Obama may not have been born in this country.
    5. Attacked congressional Democratic leaders and insisted he would blame them for a government shutdown.
    6. Delivered a statement about North Korea's latest missile launch.
    7. Spoken to Chinese President Xi Jinping over the phone.
That's just in the last 48 hours!

Yeah, and I actually found that statement to be maybe even more unsettling than his previous ones. The ones before were so ridiculous that it was easier to think he was just out of control but people behind the scene were managing things in a reasonable way... But with this uncharacteristically subdued response I feel much more nervous. I feel like when he acts like that he might have something REALLY bad up his sleeve. That, or he finally caved in to some advice given to him by his military advisors, i.e. "tone it the fuck down, stupid". I'm hoping that is case... it's just that I don't trust him and his ego enough to rely on that possibility.

Regarding his appearance: he blasts people for their appearances or characteristics repeatedly. He does so with the arrogance typical of someone who thinks they are pretty special. He more than invites baseline comments that knock his appearance and/or character.

Ah, now I don't think that's the same. That is about his mannerisms, and IMO that actually does matter, because that tells us something about him on a deeper level. Body language informs us a lot about a person. When I say making fun of his appearance, I mean the colour of his skin, his small hands, his big butt, etc. That kind of thing. To me that is along the same lines as fat-shaming Chris Christie. It's just wrong IMO.

I will give credit to trump’s best (non) decision, which is deferring a response to NK to Xi Jinping. Sure beats some idiodic chest thumping military response which I thought he might do.

I got to thinking about the Access Hollywood tape since it's back in the news and realized something. It is the only time I can ever recall hearing Donald Trump admit failure about something. Anything. In every other case he either claims success or blames someone else or both. But on that day he freely admitted that he tried...and failed.
