    What is blackmail then?  I am not concerned about a crime or anything on her point and don’t know the legal definition.   But having information that could negatively impact someone and ask for money not to tell it sure does sound like blackmail to me.

    I agree with you. When I saw Stormy playing herself it took a lot of humor out of the skit. It was like when that awards show let Spicer get in on a skit. I get Trump's part and higher responsibility, but I'm not going to laugh at those who participate and then try to distance themselves after the fact. They all knew what they were getting in to.

    End of the day someone is being paid for merely not telling a story.  I don’t care whether it is a crime or not.  Either tell the story or not.  Being paid makes it that much more sleezy.

    But someone that takes $ and signs a deal and then still goes public with the info?  That's messed up.  Breaking a contract or using slimy legalize to get out of it is awful....and straight out of trumps own playbook.  So he got what's coming to him, and still Stormy is pretty awful for doing that.  Though I'm glad she did ;)

    But someone that takes $ and signs a deal and then still goes public with the info?  That's messed up.  Breaking a contract or using slimy legalize to get out of it is awful....and straight out of trumps own playbook.  So he got what's coming to him, and still Stormy is pretty awful for doing that.  Though I'm glad she did ;)
    It simply is not blackmail, that's all I'm saying... The closest thing to blackmail here is actually Team Trump blackmailing Stormy to try and keep her quiet, not the other way around, lol.
    As far as Stormy goes ... Well, I really never had any expectations of her at all, so I'm not about to feel much about her actions either way. The POTUS on the other hand... there are some expectations there for everyone I hope! I don't think a porn star should be the one who's held up to any basic standards of behaviour or morals or lawfulness, but Trump certainly should be!

    I'm not spinning anything in favor of Trump.  My post would have been the same if the other party was a high level CEO.  The point of my original post was about Stormy Daniels being the type of person that sleeps with a married man and then seeks out money not to tell the media about her story, and then SNL giving a person like that a spot on the show.  Have an actress play her on the show as it is obviously a part of the news, but don't give a horrible person like that a platform so she can get more people to show up on her "tour" of strip clubs or whatever. 

    There is nothing pro-Trump in any of my posts.

    My point was that she didn't commit blackmail as you claimed, just by virtue of the definition of blackmail.

    I don't know why in the hell you have any expectations of SNL either way. They did what they thought would have the funniest and most outrageous impact, and they probably made the right choice with that being their only criteria. SNL should not be interested in what you're trying to get at.
