    The White House Correspondents Association wrote a sad apology for the things "the entertainer" said.  It seems that only comedians will tell the truth.  She called them out on their cowardice.  And she's right; they love Trump just for the ratings.  We really are on a march towards authoritarianism.  And the "free press" is a pretty willing participant at this point.

    It is now disrespectful to make fun of the president at an event known for making fun of the president and WH staff. It was only a problem this time because of the wackiness of this presidency. Like some have already said, the daily reality at the WH is what used to be a lead story in The Onion. Hard to laugh at the truth when it reads like a drunken college frat party rehash.

    and the joke wasn't even about that. she COMPLIMENTED her eye shadow. the joke was burning the lies to turn them into "the perfect smokey eye look". it's amazing to me that republicans are not only turning this into an appearance insult and are outraged by it, but these are the same assholes who have been saying "fuck your feelings" and "snowflake" for the past two years.

    This is true. People that were calling people
    snowflakes and then upset at this are hypocrites. As are people upset about the snowflake comments that think this comedian didn’t have some jokes out of bounds.
