    I can’t stand Trump but I hope I can play golf well into my 70’s.  He is in a lot better shape than a lot of people in their 70’s even though he is overweight.
    totally. i don't get this obsession with his weight and looks beyond his own absurd claims that he's the fittest president ever (or whatever he claims). 
    It does come off as petty, but isn't it indicative of his whole persona? I mean, why lie about your height and weight when everyone can see it's not true? It's almost like a test- let's see how much bullshit I can throw out and people won't question it. 
    i get calling him on his bullshit. that's not really what i'm referring to. i'm referring more to the fat shaming, the ageism (like making fun of the fact that people think he wears diapers, etc), his appearance (choice of hairstyle and skin colour), all of that shit. 

    i just think it cheapens the cause against him and possibly why he lies about it: a distraction.

    The point probably has to do with the fact that Trump has routinely judged other people by exactly those measures his entire life. A little bit of throwing it back in his face I guess.

    It's also why you likely won't see any of that if a heavyset fellow like, say Larry Hogan, is the R nominee in 2024. Because, you know, Hogan is a decent human being who doesn't deserve that kind of stuff.

    k, yes, technically it is. i was conflating censorship with free speech, which it isn't. but it really doesn't matter. censorship is perfectly legal, and especially with twitter, where they have very specific user agreement items that prohibit the dissemination of bullshit.
