You guys are insane. Honestly. Searching YouTube for a gotcha moment? Someone complaining about others levels of government, is not letting trump off the hook. It’s been said and it’s true, trump does something stupid every hour. So while everyone is only focused on trump does that mean that other elected officials should be let off the hook? Because the president is worse? I’m just finding it hard to understand this mentality. Trump does something worse so nothing else matters? Damn I really offended people here by bringing up Pelosi and my mayor. Wow. Sorry.0

Today a sailor who tested positive for Covid-19 on the Teddy Roosevelt ship died. A week ago, the president fired the captain of that aircraft carrier for alerting people of the outbreak.
But, yeah...please continue to act as if his actions are on par with lower level government officials. The response to this pandemic, in our country, has been a MASSIVE failure on all levels.

Yeah, other politicians, both parties, have said/done stupid things. But when you decide you want to become president, you are signing on to be the center of attention...too much credit/blame. My guess is that federal law allows the gov't to declare certain emergency measures to take place. However, I would be surprised if federal law allowed him to lift restrictions by the state, without the consent of the governors who are operating under their own statutes. So in other words, he can't require that businesses in VA reopen, if Northam doesn't lift our restrictions.Ledbetterman10 said:
