Man, I can’t believe how well the last 60 days have worked.  We could not have written a better script. He loses on something new every single day.  Other than the tragic death of the officer, this has been exhilarating.

I would like a little more breathing room in the Senate and House, but yeah, pretty exciting script.

In fairness to Manchin, I'm also not for just a blanket 2k check.  If you haven't lost your job or had serious reduction of income,  I don't think we should send a check.  For those in need,  yes.

While I agree that people who are out of work need more money, I still think money should go to more people to use at local businesses. By doing that I think money will make it to local businesses more efficiently. If you remember the PPE loans, a lot of small businesses got overlooked. Just my opinion.

I didn't need the last round, but we immediately spent it at a local landscaping company.

I  think this round would be spent too.

That’s a lot of “censorship” going on. A few of my coworkers are melting down on Facebook.

This is really good.  Spot on that all of this has done nothing but left a wound that legit dictators are going to stick their fingers in:

How about a massive work program, like the WPA? There seems to be a complete lack of imagination on how to provide aid to the people who need it. For example, very early in the pandemic, I heard a fascinating interview with Tom Collicio (sp?), restaurateur, who proposed we use restaurants to feed people. Govt supports restaurants, restaurants keep supply chain moving, and people eat. It was brilliant. There's broadband to lay in rural areas, there are schools everywhere in desperate need for renovation. So many people could be put to work. Why can't anyone come up with a more creative solution than a handout? Sure, it takes time to start up these endeavors and people need relief now, but it just seems like we could spend money by putting people to work, and then actually get something from the investment.

There's been a lot of talk about "censorship" on Twitter, FaceBook, Simon and Schuster.  Blocking someone who incites rioting and invasion of the Capitol is not censorship.   A publishing company refusing to publish certain material is not censorship.  I wish these far right wingers would educate themselves instead of making their false claims.
