    trump just backed out of the state visit in the UK. he said he wanted to avoid large public protests and wants to wait until the people actually welcome him there. i guess this trip is not going to happen at all now... what an embarrassment.

    Once upon a time, not to far back, a nation of people lost their mind and elected a man wealthy in money but poor in scruples, manners and brains.  And that's when I lost my shit and said things here in general to those here who helped get that man elected- things that I should not have said and so banned myself until my membership expired.  So I missed about 90% of this fine thread.

    In any case, I always credit statements to the speaker and usually provide links.  But you young whipper snappers like abbreviate, leave off links, whatever it takes to be brief rather than ramble on.  Glad I don't do that..  Anyway, I blame it on George Carlin.  He criticized Americans for their use of euphemistic language so you young uns went the opposite direction.

    Every substantive policy that Trump has trumpeted is a continuation of existing Obama policy. Take his apprenticeship program. Fully funded and supported by Obama but what he won't tell you is that trump is also slashing benefits to government job training, placement and benefits program that folks in apprenticeship programs need to be successful. But hey, he's a snake oil salesman so what did you expect?

    Hows that tax reform, wall and healthcare coming along? Tired of winning yet? And don't forget that congress takes the month of August off and that Paul Ryan and Fail McConnell have colluded to have the least productive congress ever by purposefully scheduling the least amount of days in session.
