The nominee has to be Kamala Harris. She will destroy Don Trump.
Whatever happens the candidates should check their tone at the door and ROUND TABLE as opposed to DEBATE. Encourage as opposed to attack. Team Build as opposed to snipe like the middle school popular kids.
By the way...I'm pretty sure that Don Trump committed a misdemeanor in the Brietbart interview .
"I have the support of the police, the support of the military, the support of the Bikers for Trump — I have the tough people, but they don’t play it tough — until they go to a certain point and then it would be very bad, very bad."https://code.dccouncil.us/dc/council/code/sections/22-1321.html
§ 22–1321. Disorderly conduct
(a) In any place open to the general public, and in the communal areas of multi-unit housing, it is unlawful for a person to:
(1) Intentionally or recklessly act in such a manner as to cause another person to be in reasonable fear that a person or property in a person’s immediate possession is likely to be harmed or taken;
(2) Incite or provoke violence where there is a likelihood that such violence will ensue; or
(3) Direct abusive or offensive language or gestures at another person (other than a law enforcement officer while acting in his or her official capacity) in a manner likely to provoke immediate physical retaliation or violence by that person or another person.
(b) It is unlawful for a person to engage in loud, threatening, or abusive language, or disruptive conduct, with the intent and effect of impeding or disrupting the orderly conduct of a lawful public gathering, or of a congregation of people engaged in any religious service or in worship, a funeral, or similar proceeding.
(c) It is unlawful for a person to engage in loud, threatening, or abusive language, or disruptive conduct with the intent and effect of impeding or disrupting the lawful use of a public conveyance by one or more other persons.
(c-1) It is unlawful for a person to engage in loud, threatening, or abusive language, or disruptive conduct in a public building with the intent and effect of impeding or disrupting the orderly conduct of business in that public building.
(d) It is unlawful for a person to make an unreasonably loud noise between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. that is likely to annoy or disturb one or more other persons in their residences.
(e) It is unlawful for a person to urinate or defecate in public, other than in a urinal or toilet.
(f) It is unlawful for a person to stealthily look into a window or other opening of a dwelling, as defined in § 6-101.07, under circumstances in which an occupant would have a reasonable expectation of privacy. It is not necessary that the dwelling be occupied at the time the person looks into the window or other opening.
(g) It is unlawful, under circumstances whereby a breach of the peace may be occasioned, to interfere with any person in any public place by jostling against the person, unnecessarily crowding the person, or placing a hand in the proximity of the person’s handbag, pocketbook, or wallet.
(h) A person who violates any provision of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be fined not more than the amount set forth in § 22-3571.01, imprisoned not more than 90 days, or both.
It seems laws do not matter with Trump.
It seems to me, and IANAL, that Trump and his kid coordinated their campaign with foreign nationals and received "a thing of value" from russia. Based on what we have publicly seen.
And its nearly 3 years later, and zero indictments related to the campaign? Much of Mueller's team has left the SC office and nothing?0 -
How do you counter something as false, when you freely admit it? The socialism label sticks because there are members of the wing of the party that actively embrace it. AOC calling capitalism "irredeemable" was most unhelpful.Tiki said:The Socialism "label" by the Trumpsters needs to be aggressively countered with the label of fascism.

.... American capitalism is irredeemable though. I can't believe people think such a system is forever sustainable. It seems that AOC gets most criticized for being honest. But also, AOC has firmly stated she is a democratic socialist. I hate that she might be blamed for people's refusal to acknowledge the difference between that and socialism.

America has always been a capitalist country. They'll be fine.Give Peas A Chance…0

Why isn't it sustainable? It has been for multiple centuries, depending on how you define it, and there has been NO economic system that has been more successful. I don't argue for unfettered capitalism without regulation, but the core is still capitalism. She certainly hasn't put forth a better economic system. I'm not criticizing her for her honesty, I'm criticizing for the honest words that come out of her mouth.PJ_Soul said:.... American capitalism is irredeemable though. I qualified it for a reason. American capitalism (and other variations in some other countries too) isn't sustainable as it is. The currently fast growing chasm between the rich and everyone else proves it. That is exactly what democratic socialism is about. Stopping the unsustainability of such a system.

So that's different than saying capitalism is irredeemable. If that's what she means too, then she is being foolish with loose words. You make the argument that we have best economic system in the world, but the disparity is growing so we need to realign it. Capitalism can't be left to its own devices, it will be corrupted by man, who is inherently corrupt. So we have to adjust regulations, oversight, taxes, etc., to move it forward and close the widening gap. You will get huge support from arguments (more articulate) like mine. But some sweeping statement like she made will just get the Dems buried.PJ_Soul said:I qualified it for a reason. Just a scare tactic like caravans, border invasion, and ms13.

Well it is safe to assume she meant it in the context of America. I thought that was obvious.mrussel1 said:

Capitalism isn't all it's cracked up to be for sure. EVERYTHING benefits the 1%...
Socialism is a label that's tossed around by people who don't understand it. I fully and totally understand what a fascist is. I also understand what crazy is as well.
Mike Pence is complicit in all of this and needs removal as well.Post edited by ikiT onBristow 05132010 to Amsterdam 2 061320180 -
Maybe she meant it that way, but I'm a Democrat and I don't even know that for sure. Republicans will hammer us with that. It goes back to my point about these freshmen. They need to be smarter. She needs to be smarter on how she phrases things. Don't let them weaponize your words.PJ_Soul said:

Okay, so what economic system do you favor, if not market based capitalism? We have feudalism, communism, subsistence, planned, capitalism, traditional (barter), and maybe a few more. Or you can invent your own that isn't associated with these. Which do you recommend for our 300 million people that will create a higher standard of living than we have today?Tiki said:Capitalism is cracked for sure. EVERYTHING benefits the 1%...
So is Americanism. I've never seen anything like this and I was paying attention.

I'm not in a position to implement a new system. I'm just saying this system is cracked. If I had solutions that large, Don Trump woulda been out on day 3.
Thank you.Bristow 05132010 to Amsterdam 2 061320180 -
the economic system in this country does not work for ALOT of poor and disenfranchised people, by the way. We already had the insoc experiment, maybe a huge shift toward real Socialism (without the evil dictator of course) would help ease suffering in this country.
Power to the People, brother. No delay.
I'm just trying to figure out how I'm gonna get those Eddie pre sales.Bristow 05132010 to Amsterdam 2 061320180 -

There is not one country that has had a substantial socialism as their main economic system and had it work. It doesn't work. You can have pockets of it, but not writ large. And we already have pockets of it for some classes of people.Tiki said:the economic system in this country does not work for ALOT of poor and disenfranchised people, by the way.
