I had a little moment earlier with, what I assume, is a Trump supporter. Nice guy, deep southern accent. Lives in MD and has a decent job in DC. I sell mortgages, and we get to the employment section and he doesn't know his office's address, only that it's on 16th Street. So I tell him I'll just google it real quick. This is how the convo went:
Juggler---"Oh...." Guy---"What?" Juggler---"Well, your office is now located at 123 (not actual number) Black Lives Matter Plaza..." Guy---"What?!?! Are you fucking kidding me??? God damn it. I hate that shit! I can't believe they list it like that now! Son of a bitch!"
Then he kind of apologized for his language. It sounded like his head was about to explode. I had to put him on hold because I started cracking up. He was super pissed. It was funny. I sold the loan. Good guys win again. He works on Black Lives Matter Plaza. Hahaha.
That was funny to read.

7 polls have him below 40% in the first week of June alone.
I said this in the Biden/Trump thread earlier...my concern is that there's still 5 long and treacherous months to go. I hope Biden isn't peaking too soon.
It has little to do with Biden. But fret not, there's ample time for Trump to step on his mushroom dick multiple times before the election.
it is physically impossible for him to step on his dizzle. i imagine it more like him sitting on his balls like the old dude in the video.

Damn it! All of our calls are supposed to be recorded and easily available to listen to right away for training purposes and stuff. Just checked....and of course there was some kind of issue with it today and that call is not available to listen to. Fuck! I didn't even think of that until reading your post. Oh well.
I should mention again that the guy does seem genuinely nice. So perhaps this would have been better if he was just a total asshole Trump supporter. But either way....we locked his rate shortly thereafter!

NASCAR statement on confederate flag

“The presence of the confederate flag at NASCAR events runs contrary to our commitment to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all fans, our competitors and our industry. Bringing people together around a love for racing and the community that it creates is what makes our fans and sport special. The display of the confederate flag will be prohibited from all NASCAR events and properties.”

There are NASCAR fans who thought that changing from "Winston Cup" to "Sprint Cup" was "PC." This is going to be interesting to watch to say the least.

For the life of me I'm puzzled as why we have military bases named after Confederate generals. Many were straight up racists, many owned slaves and fought against the US. If I'm mistaken but isn't that treason. Yet the names remain, I've had ROTC training at Fort Bragg and had no idea where the name came from but I do now.

We could end up with a real issue going forward about how we deal with our history. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe and many other founding fathers owned slaves. What do we do about that? Do we remove all monuments to them and anyone with a history of slave owning or racism? (They beheaded the Christopher Columbus statue here in Boston the other night and the city is removing the statue this morning). Do we change our money and remove Washington, Jefferson and Jackson (Jackson should definitely go)? I think we have to mention that aspect of these peoples' lives when we teach our kids history but still have to teach the positive aspects of their contributions to our history. It's tricky.

Yes it's tricky but if military bases, statues or our money is never to be changed or discontinued then we should place a notation of that person's history in ALL their positive or negative contributions to this country. No matter whether it's on a statue, money or military base, just give the FULL picture of that person.

It is. But I do find it odd to name any federal facility after someone who lost to the United States. Do we name things after Red Coats? Or Japanese/German generals from WWII? (Well, maybe some day with the Germans)
It’s amazing to me how much “patriotic” Americans love symbols of attempted secession.

virtually all of the officer corps , certainly the generals , served with distinction in the mexican war as members of the US Army, prior to choosing to dishonor their oath of office .
I suspect the naming of these places was done by officials in government from the south long after reintegration.

538 reporting a 14 point gap on the same day 1.5 million more Americans had filed for unemployment. And don’t forget, a “glitch” prevented the DOL from posting accurate unemployment numbers. That and economists are predicting at least 9% unemployment through the end of the year and beyond. Covid deaths surpass 112,000 (“it’ll be gone, like a miracle, soon to be zero”)Team Trump Treason is a Colossal failure, like everything else in his life. Suckers.
