No, it isn’t. One is highly factually accurate and the other .... well, it’s Fox.

guess they chose to overlook that UVA rape story.......
Good call.  That was such a big deal here.

Highly factual does not equate to perfection. No publication is ever going to be error-free; it's a matter of degree.

    Easter!!!

Yeah! Why the fuck not?! What’s the worst that can happen with packing churches across the country with mostly elderly folks at a time when a pandemic that preys on such people is peaking?

I find RS just okay.  It's very left wing, which is fine, but it doesn't try to draw any balance whatsoever.  You can be factual but still overly biased.  National Review is a great example of that.  NRO is more opinion and less expose than RS, but I put them generally in the same category.  NRO doesn't peddle lies and propaganda, they just have a particular viewpoint, like RS.

just watch. trump is going to turn that old phrase "you never change presidents in a time of war" to something like "you never change presidents during a public health emergency". the fearmongering is going to be worse than ever.

suppose trump loses and he refuses to hand over information from his administration to the biden administration relating to the pandemic. i can see manbaby doing this, and i am legitimately worried about it.

And the site separates out Left/Right bias from factual reporting, since they are two different things.

This is what makes Rolling Stone a legitimate news source :

Rolling Stone Apologizes, Retracts UVA Rape Article After CJR Review
CJR critique says magazine failed to follow proper journalistic procedures.
    https://abcnews.go.com/US/rolling-stone-apologizes-retracts-uva-rape-article-cjr/story?id=30111150

"As we asked ourselves how we could have gotten the story wrong, we decided the only responsible and credible thing to do was to ask someone from outside the magazine to investigate any lapses in reporting, editing and fact-checking behind the story. We reached out to Steve Coll, dean of the Columbia School of Journalism, and a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter himself, who accepted our offer. We agreed that we would cooperate fully, that he and his team could take as much time as they needed and write whatever they wanted. They would receive no payment, and we promised to publish their report in full."

I quit being astounded by support for this "person" long ago.  But I'm back.  This is just unreal.

I guess tragedy brings people looking for a leader.  W was at 90% for a while after 9/11.

I'm not. many have not seen the eye of the storm yet. i sure hope they don't. but if they do, his approval rating will be the least of anyone's thoughts. except his own, of course.

    He's terrible at his job.

Isn't there some obscure mechanism that the House and Senate can employ against such abject suckieness?

    Oh yeah there is.   BAILOUT

It's amazing just how quickly this devolved from the BEST ECONOMY this country has ever seen to three weeks of stock correction and shitty profit outlooks to this Senate prop job of over 2 TRILLION Dollars that the House isn't even going to vote in person on.

“One of the most serious challenges our countries face is the specter of socialism. It’s the wrecker of nations and the destroyer of societies. Events in Venezuela remind us all that socialism and communism are not about justice, they are not about equality, they are not about lifting up the poor and they are certainly not about the good of the nation, socialism and communism are about one thing only: Power for the ruling class ,today I repeat a message to the world that I have delivered at home: America will never be a socialist country.”

I can't wait until this fucking guy is done.

Just an opinion piece from a Trump supporter, but I don’t think he’s far off in his assessment. I am a little surprised, especially after eavesdropping on some Republican, Trump supporting neighbors talking yesterday about the “lack of leadership”.

On what legal grounds could he possibly have a cease-and-desist against this? They’re all his actual quotes.

But having “grounds” to take legal action doesn’t matter to him. He knows how damning shit like this is and he’ll pull out all stops to shut it down. Can’t blame him for trying. He has to know that the Hunter Biden ads that he’ll certainly be running at some point will carry no water with voters compared to ads like this that talk about tangible presidential performance.
