Not very juicy (besides the Moby part, lol), but an interesting article nonetheless. Broeksmit sounds like a fairly fascinating and strange character.

Pompeo sure sounds guilty of something...probably a lot of something.
Drop the hammer, Congress. We have to be a nation of laws.

It's crazy to think that a member of the GOP following the law is headline worthy, but hey... 2019 I guess.

I'm of a mind that believes it isn't only Dems trying to do the right thing here. There are a lot of GOP and former GOP who are definitely not happy about what has happened to their party. I see them talking on various shows...and I think of many of them as the Underground in this.

There's going to be 25+ senators in the GOP caucus not up for election in 2020.  That means they can stand up without the worry of a primary in the near term.  We need 15 or so to grow a conscious.  The senate was created and structured as to not have to worry about the rabble throwing them out every two years.

    Deplorables gonna deplore.

Original article is funnier and more disturbing.

the president had often talked about fortifying a border wall with a water-filled trench, stocked with snakes or alligators, prompting aides to seek a cost estimate. He wanted the wall electrified, with spikes on top that could pierce human flesh.

Mr. Trump had routinely berated Ms. Nielsen as ineffective and, worse — at least in his mind — not tough-looking enough. “Lou Dobbs hates you, Ann Coulter hates you, you’re making me look bad,” Mr. Trump would tell her, referring to the Fox Business Network host and the conservative commentator.

This is completely guesswork on my part, but the GOP seems chock full of spineless people void of character who I don't think will be eager to fall on their swords. My guess is that evidence will reach a point that's clear enough and impossible to spin enough that it becomes a liability for members to do anything but support impeachment, and that that's when the relationship of convenience between Trump and the GOP will die a fast death.

The Republicans are spineless and know nothing about doing the right thing,  the ethical thing, or the moral thing.
All they care about is the party
They don't care about the country
And they certainly don't care about the people

I don't think I alluded to anything contrary to this. I just said that there will be a time when the truth is obvious enough that the Republicans will abandon ship and cease their unwavering commitment to supporting Trump.

Nazi guards of the Warsaw Ghetto and East German border guards used to do it and North Korean border guards still do it. What’s the big whiff? Speaking of Little Rocket Man, did you see how North Korea tested a new ballistic missile the other day? Start polishing that Nobel.
