So the Pope basically called Trump a fatty during their meeting, which is hilarious:

The Holy See solemnly entered his first meeting with the President on Wednesday morning and left it joking with First Lady Melania Trump — possibly about her husband’s size.

Through a translator, Pope Francis asked Trump, “What do you give him to eat — potica?”

Laughing, the First Lady did not dispute the Holy See’s assessment and replied, “Potica.”

The Pope was asking Slovenian-born Melania Trump about a nut-filled cake known in her homeland as “Potica.” He tasted the traditional treat when Slovenian Prime Minister Miro Cerar visited the Vatican in 2015.

I actually don't think indiscretions like that are petty issues for the president. His behaviour in general means something. Making fun of his hair and hands and tan is petty. But anything that highlights his already proven love of prostitutes is a big deal (whether the pee tape is real or not).

When I clicked the link I expected to find the exact same staging of that picture, but with everyone smiling. Not the case. Two different scenarios so not really comparable and anyone basing the meeting on a picture needs to dig a little deeper. They're all photo ops. Yes, though, the media does play favorites and needs to quit doing so if they want the Trump supporters to quit calling them fake.

The best rule is to just ignore all still photos that are reported in any specific context unless you're prepared to research into that context and confirm that it's accurate. I saw a good example of this problem that you mention recently, related to PM Trudeau. The PM was jogging in Stanley Park the other day and jogged right through a group of teens who were on their way to their Grad (Prom to Americans). The first photo I saw was of the moment he zoomed past the kids, while a few of the kids seemed to be looking at him, but most were preoccupied with other things. The context was "look, the younger generation doesn't even care about the PM! They are totally uninterested in the fact that he's running past them!" There were even big red arrows pointing out all the ones who weren't looking at him. Obviously anti-Trudeau folks were delighted with this, and took it to mean that younger voters wouldn't vote for him, lol. So fucking stupid. Of course, the dumbass story didn't show that seconds later, when every person in the group had time to react and realize who'd just run past them, and Trudeau stopped and did some selfies with them all, where they all seemed thrilled to be meeting the PM, obviously.

This kind of thing has become STANDARD in social media, and sometimes even in mainstream news. It is very dangerous to society.

Absolutely.  And his overall hypocrisy.  It shows his character.  It's amazing to think it's early on in an investigation of the white house and yet because of trump's past it is SOOOOOOO easy to believe Comey, etc and totally disregard Trump.  He is a YUGE hypocrite and a cheat.

Once proven - I feel the entire ticket should be removed from office since it directly effected the election.  I don't care how he looks or his handwritting....I care that he is an enormous liar/hypocrite and that he hasn;t held Russia accountable for meddling in the US election because he was in on it.

Gorsuch should be removed as well
