"May" being an operative word. I don't think it gets handed in without furhter investigation and indictments. I'm expecting indictments tomorrow.

From $22 an hour to $11: GM job cuts in Ohio show a hot economy is still leaving parts of America behind

The automaker is shutting down production at its Lordstown plant, home of the Chevy Cruze — affecting 5,400 people

This is a problem for Trump.  Lordstown is a big plant in the Youngstown area that is heart of the blue collar Ohio.  While I don't think Ohio is in play for Democrats, it's close enough to the PA border where it affects PA citizens.  It also shows that capital will always gravitate to the lowest cost.  Factory jobs will come back when they are robotic and run by engineers , not blue collar workers.
I’m not sure that Ohio isn’t in play as Team Trump Treason’s approval rating is down 20 points from January to January of last year, currently at 51%. If Kasich continues to speak out and tries to primary him, tariffs continue to crush farmers and large item manufacturers or voters start paying attention to the congressional hearings, investigations and realize they’re being conned, I can see Ohio flipping. Depends on the dem nominee but I’d also like to see the strength of the “anybody but Team Trump Treason” crowd. Regardless, too far from the election to be making bets. A lot can and will happen between now and then.
I've driven by that plant.  It's enormous.

Johnny K. was on CNN last night and while he may appear on the surface to be anti-Don, he's still acts like an R.  can't truss it.

Michael Cohen sues the Trump Organization https://www.cnn.com/2019/03/07/politics/michael-cohen-sues-the-trump-organization/index.html

President Donald Trump's former lawyer and fixer, Michael Cohen, is suing the Trump Organization, saying it failed to fulfill its contractual obligations to indemnify him or pay his attorneys' fees relating to his work after he began cooperating with federal investigators.

No, I hear you but I don’t think Kasich is the type of repub to burn the constitution and shred democracy to the degree the current R brand is. I have no illusions regarding his conservative orthodoxy.

Awesome. Another avenue for discovery and depositions.

He is a republican.  But he's pragmatic and principled.  You may not agree with those principles, but it is to be respected so long as it respects the dignity of humans and as far as I know, it does.  He is anti-Don too because he lacks morals, principles and ethics.  But don't expect him to be pro-choice, pro union, etc.

There’s no truth to the rumor that Team Trump Treason was one of the participants, although there could be.

And if you haven’t read Cohen’s lawsuit against Team Trump Treason it’s hilarious. The amount of malfeasance in the past 2+ years is astonishing. No wonder folks think it’s a nothing burger, there’s so much to eat, you don’t know where to start and you’re full after one bite. I’m sure they’ll move to dismiss but me thinks the suit has merits. Just another bone headed blunder by Team Trump Treason.

    sources....gut

Trump told the Post in an interview. "They're making a mistake because I have a gut and my gut tells me more sometimes than anybody else's brain can ever tell me."

Less than 4 years for Manafort? What a joke. White collar crime pays.

But he’s “humiliated”. Well, good. Though the word should be “ashamed”, but that suggests an acknowledgement of culpability.

Ellis noted Manafort "lived an otherwise blameless life," and was a good friend and generous person to others

What are the federal sentencing guidelines?
  • mrussel1mrussel1 Posts: 29,919
Just saw it was 19 to 24. Definitely got odd very soft.  24 million in restitution will smart bit though.
  • josevolutionjosevolution Posts: 30,092
Ellis took it easy on him and it’s a shame this judge was erratic throughout the trial let’s hope the next judge will be different in the sentencing of him , total white collar sentencing a person of color or joe smoe would of gotten 30 fucking years ..

I heard 6 to 24 million. Betting it's on the lower end after this sentence.
