So you're aware of the psychology of it, yet at the same time appear to be anti-Islamist similar to an anti-semite is anti-Jew.BS44325 said:

Finally a good question Trebek. Definitely not every muslim country. Egypt, Jordan, Saudi and some others are pretty much openly partnering with Israel and likely will for years to come. This is huge but of course subsections of their populations will have to be dealt with and places that teach hate will have to be reformed. Iran and ISIS are definitely a problem although ISIS now less so. Hezbollah, Hamas and other terror groups are problematic as well but they mainly get funding from Iran.Halifax2TheMax said:

Interesting that you only equate the holocaust with the destruction of Jews when there were Roma, gay and political victims as well. Why is that? More trivia for you, Professor?
Are you referring to ISIS and Iran when you say, “right now?” Or is the Saudis who Israeli is now aligned with? Muslim Brotherhood or Hezbollah? Or every Muslim country?
So...listen closely...NOT all muslims. You hear that Beavers?

The current regime will never amount to the 4th Reich. For one, I don't feel that they are as calloused as made out to be- even as cold hearted as they have been to this point in time.
But it is important to point out the similarities between this regime in their formative years and other evil regimes in their's. In fact it is incumbent upon us to do so given the that left unabated... things 'could' take a few twist and turns that would leave us wondering "how?" The risk attached to the 'could' component of my last sentence is too great to ignore.
One of the things keeping this regime in check is the amount of people expressing outrage for every troubling policy that to this point has paralleled other evil regimes in their own way (ie. the dehumanization of some people). I don't think mocking these people is cool. I think supporting the opposition is wise.
The people expressing outrage have seen it happen before and don't need to be punched in the face before they recognize a blow is coming- they've learned from history. The 'lest we forget' piece was not lost on them.Post edited by Thirty Bills Unpaid on"My brain's a good brain!"0 -

of course, its just a poll of only 2000 or so people and it does state that Obama got 20% at the time in his presidency to Trump's 19. So Trump has a chance to do better. Here's some details:vaggar99 said:

The Pew Research Center asked Americans who they thought did the best job as president in their lifetime. The top pick: former President Barack Obama.
Obama was the choice of 44 percent of the respondents in the poll, which was published Wednesday. Bill Clinton came in second with 33 percent and Ronald Reagan was third with 32 percent. Although not yet even halfway through his first term, President Donald Trump got 19 percent to place him in fourth place, ahead of both Bushes, John F. Kennedy and Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
According to Pew, Obama got 20 percent at about the same point in his presidency.
The survey was conducted from June 5-12 and 2,002 people were asked to give both their first and second choices. It has an error margin of 2.6 points.
