Cohen's testimony today can be corroborated and likely will be, either in Team Mueller indictments or report or in future House hearings.

No, but there's a long history of relying on witnesses with credibility issues both in judicial and congressional proceedings. Hell, the "beginning of the end" for Nixon was when John Dean testified. And he went straight to jail after that. And he was an attorney.

Witnesses have been said to lack credibility simply because they are witnesses. Tons of witnesses could be said to lack credibility for all kinds of reasons. But then people consider their motivations to lie, the likelihood that they would lie under whatever set of circumstances, etc.
