    He is a joke!

    from Berlin Newsletter:

    Merkel buttons Trump
Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) has rejected the sharp criticism of US President Donald Trump on Germany's economic cooperation with Russia in the field of energy. It was good that Germany could make an "independent policy", stressed Merkel at the launch of the NATO summit in Brussels.
"I would like to add on occasion that I have experienced, even myself, that a part of Germany was controlled by the Soviet Union," said the Chancellor with a view to the former GDR.
"I am very happy that today we are united in freedom as the Federal Republic of Germany and that therefore we can say that we can make our own policy and make our own decisions. That's very good, especially for the people in the new federal states. "
Trump had blamed Germany in the morning at a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. He linked his demand for higher defense expenditures of the most populous and economically strongest European NATO partner with criticism of the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. "Germany is totally controlled by Russia," said the US president. (AP)

(Have no idea if the titel is translated correctly. I tried with google but I don't know if that even makes sense)

The Nazi regime came to power when Germany was facing massive unemployment and a demoralized populace due to WW1.

There was a little more to it than that.

now i know BS is a paid Russian troll. i hope your employer doesn't find out the AMT probably has a low ROI considering only about 12 people post here.
Yeah...just like that sane Johanathan Chait story. I’ve been funded by the russian’s since I first joined the 10 Club in the 90’s and as soon as this message board began I’ve been paid per post to infiltrate and push for Russian interests.
The Russians are very good at playing the long game.  They started with Trump in the 80's.

    HILARIOUS
Trump is absolutely right on this. Poland (which loves Trump) is not accepting Russian energy. They are far more under threat from Russian then Germany and doesn’t want to be held hostage to Russia. Germany on the other hand gutted their domestic energy sector and has a billion dollar energy deal with Russia. They are now totally reliant on Russia and provide then with billions in petrol dollars. This commentary blows an absolute hole in the who is “putin’s puppet” logic. Not to mention it was Obama who pulled that defence shield out of Poland. It was Obama (and you all) who laughed at Mitt Romney for calling Russia the America’s number one geopolitical foe. Trump is right and while he doesn’t hit Russia verbally he is taking every proper action behind the scenes.
Like Team Trump Treason can even begin to articulate energy policy in the EU and the threat or control of same by Russia and putin on the ritz. “Absolutely right.” He has not a clue about the political dynamics of the continent. I’d love to hear him articulate US policy as it relates to this issue, in a press conference. His second sentence would be about him and how great he is.

But since you brought up the issue of GOP voters, it’s hard to ignore the statement in the article that 46% of republicans polled were in favour of Little, who is completely open about his anti-Semitic, Holocaust-denying, and yes, Nazi beliefs. 46%. So yes, maybe we can’t say that the majority of republican voters support Nazi policies, but 46% is a pretty sizeable minority.
I’m totally jumping in here and no I didn’t read the article at all, but that 46% number cannot possibly folks who knew the guy had those sentiments right? I find it hard to believe that if you polled 100 Republicans about their views on anti Semitic, racist etc views that 46 of them would have no problem with it.  No way.

It is a poll. It could even be more in reality.

That figure is a gauge to tell us roughly where things are at.

Oh like a poll that roughly said Hillary was a 90%+ favorite to win the election? Ok, that makes sense then, it has no truth to it at all.
