***DONALD J TRUMP HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN IMPEACHED***

Rgambs, I find people talk about pride and shame on a national level, when they shouldn't. I'm not proud to be a Canadian. I didn't earn the right being born to a Canadian. If I elevate Canada throughout my lifetime by changing it in a tangible or meaningful, public way, then I will have the right to be proud. Similarly, shame for your country should be reserved for when you could have made a positive change but elected not to. You are on here engaging meaningfully to try to teach your perception of the right way and choices in life, and learn from others about theirs. I think you should be proud of that.rgambs said:

Kodos for sending a clear message, No more (good song) No more apology tours. Time to step it up for the United States of America! Time for a Peace Through Strength approach. President Trump will not be impeached, no way. If he does something impeachable, I'll be calling for his head too, and eat a crow dinner. To be clear on what's sickening, it's the attitude you share with so many Americans that values the appearance of American strength over the lives of innocent children. Yes fake news.
How has CNN's ratings been lately?
Were you a big American Idol fan? That shows ratings were THROUGH THE ROOF! Clearly that meant it was a good show.
This isn't a fun game. North Korea has been tossing test missiles around for years. Nobody does anything about it. Towards Japan towards South Korea, What should we do about Kim Jun un? (If I spelled his name wrong I don't care). Yes one of the most repressive ragimes in the world. The freek took out his own brother for damn sake. His nation has mass starvation going on. It's sickening that those innocent people are trapped there yes. Don't you think that it has been a good thing for President Trump to try to work with the Chinese, to try to get China to put pressure on North Korea and try to stop this mad man? Isn't Trump trying to avoid all the colaraderal damage before it happens?rgambs said:

It's not like Trump is running around looking to start wars. This shit with all these world problems has been perculating for years unchecked. Going back to the Bush years probably longer. Was it not a good signal to drop that huge bomb on an ISIS fortrus. Killing 92 ISIS members, & no savilins.
Can you call a win a win? Or no matter what Trump is a bafoon?
I also don't get the hatred towards Trump. He's not an ideologue. Not Democrat or Republican.
Nobody is fully prepared to be the president of the United States when they come into office there's a lot of learning that has to occur. And they have to learn fast.
I don't claim to be an expert on world affairs, but I have eyes and ears.

It's different for you Canadians though, you don't take your nationalism nearly as serious as we do. You don't get lumped in with such a bad crowd, and you don't have to worry about your reputation as a Canadian around the world like we do.benjs said:

People make assumptions about Americans around the world.
As a light-hearted example, an Italian told me that any truly fat person he sees in Milano he automatically assumes they are American.

I heard they conspired with Russia to develop a voters package for Trump supporters: two free passes to the buffet for a Trump vote. According to real credible sources, the free passes were only valid from Monday to Friday, but Russia made them make the passes valid any day of the week.

"It's not like Trump is running around looking to start wars. This shit with all these world problems has been perculating for years unchecked."
He's doing exactly that. North Korea and China are both telling him to back off and he is getting his dukes up.
This shit has been percolating, but not unchecked. It is the height of Trumpist naiveté to think that just because we haven't bombed them, that means we are doing nothing.
This is an extremely complicated situation that has been balanced in peace for a long time and Trump is actively trying to upset that balance.

To be clear on what's sickening, it's the attitude you share with so many Americans that values the appearance of American strength over the lives of innocent children. It's fucking disgusting and it is so prominent that I am ashamed to share a nationality with such people.
People make assumptions about Americans around the world.
As a light-hearted example, an Italian told me that any truly fat person he sees in Milano he automatically assumes they are American.

Hillary's death blow was that she was a terrible candidate, people don't trust her. She didn't make an effort in critical key battle ground states. She didn't stop in Wisconsin once, Michigan towards the end when her people told her Michigan was slipping away!! Both states that has gone blue since Regan, but always considered a swing states. She called half the country irredeemable.(All the election anallists know that this was a huge mistake). Many people at the time sitting on the fence called diplorable? Many of those people said screw you then. They mad t-shirts and hats out of that. PROUD TO BE IN HILLARY'S BASKET OF DIPLORABLES I have one. And many many voters were very against the socialist path we were on.
Didn't many people prefer The Burn?
Burny Sanders would have won the primaries had it not been predetermined for Hillary. The Burn had no chance despite winning state after state after state. The PREDETERMINED SUPERDELEGATES had Hillary a lock for the Democratic nominee before any primary voting ever took place.
If it makes you feel better, ok all you can eat FREE BRUNCH FOR ALL!!
Talking some sense into you is like trying to push a bolder up the back side of the mountain.
Oh yeah and in the last 8 years have you stopped to check out how many senate seats have flipped? Congressman, governers, across the country, it's staggering. At the State, National, and local level elections With the exception of Obama's 2 wins, the Dems have their lowest numbers since the 1920s. Free Brunch for All. I'm sure that's the reason.

I heard they conspired with Russia to develop a voters package for Trump supporters: two free passes to the buffet for a Trump vote. According to real credible sources, the free passes were only valid from Monday to Friday, but Russia made them make the passes valid any day of the week.
It proved to be the death blow for Hilary.

To answer your question, though, I'm not proud nor shameful. As I said above, I reserve pride and shame for realities which I've impacted. I am not an owner or meaningful participant in making Canada into what it is at this point in my life, so I'm indifferent from that perspective about being Canadian. I have made this same statement, albeit less eloquently (as usual, Benjs), in the past. I don't get "patriotism" or "national pride", and people release the hounds on me for saying I have zero of each. i had zero to do with the creation of this country, so what the fuck am I to be proud about? it's the same as buying a house vs building a house. Am I happy I live there? Yes, but I bought it, I didn't build it, so there's nothing for me to be proud of.benjs said:
