They're spinning this to cite a botched Hilary investigation as the motive.
Cletus will buy this explanation. He will lap it up eagerly.
I think you're getting your hopes up. Trump is teflon in America.
Agreed. The left needs to stop waiting for the Impeachment Fairy. He's not getting impeached. The American people and, most importantly, the GOP, do not want that to happen. Right or wrong, it's not just Cletus, but everyone from center/apolitical to the right, that feels that the left is whining and not accepting defeat. Trump is President until 2021, and if we're not careful, 2025. Time to focus on 2018; play defense in the Senate and hope to pick up a couple in the House.
There's an outside chance Trump decides he cannot take it anymore and just up and quits (he certainly would if he was even putting in half as much work as previous presidents) but he's not going to be impeached, much less removed.

His firing of Comey is certainly making impeachment much more probable and I'd argue definitive. This is not some trumped up political game because liberals are whining about Hillary losing. This is about colluding with a foreign power to sway an election in a quid pro quo. And Russian oligarchs laundering money through trump investments. All impeachable, all likely and all very real.
Well that's an interesting little tidbit and a great short to the point article. I wonder how long Comey has known the vultures were circling though? Was he playing the game to buy himself time and then just said fuck it and went all in knowing this would be the result?

It illustrates how deep and far ranging the threads to this scandal go. It's deep, multilayered and goes to the top.

Oh, I never thought that this was about left wing complaining....there's smoke here.
The firing of Comey was quite transparent. His camp had to have recognized the optics on that...was it outrageously stupid or just recognition that it does not really matter; Trump's going to be fine.

Trump is going down. My guess is for money laundering. There's a reason Preet Baraha was fired after being told he had a job. Trump tower phone calls with Russian agents brought to our attention by British, Swedish and polish intelligence agencies. And he's guilty. Trump has never been held to account and considers any attemp to do so as a cost of doing business. That may work just fine when you're a private real estate developer. Not so much as president of the US.

Remember the bragdacio of 2008 where "the money is pouring in?" That money continues to pour in. And it's illegal to accept money that you know or should have known came from a corrupt source.
So far I'm liking McCabe. In only his first day on the job he's already contradicting Trump and Huckabee Sanders. Refuting claims of lost confidence, refuting Whitehouse claims that the Trump-Russia investigation is "the smallest of things", by saying it is "highly significant". Meeting with Senate Intel Committee members, etc... He was dropped right into the eye of the shitstorm, and so far seems to be keeping a level head and not allowing himself to be bullied by the Whitehouse. I wonder how long he'll be the acting head before Trump has enough of him.

You can bet they are rushing the interview process for a new FBI director.

The poll options should be: Eric Don, Jr. Rudy Kushner The Field
I don't think "the field" is that safe of a bet.

but I don't think anything significant will happen any time soon.
