Trump is an idiot that doesn't know how to get out of his own way. His press conferences should be simple for him. All he needs to say is:
"I said ________ (insert build the wall, ban Muslims, whatever...) during the campaign. I was elected with 306 electoral votes. Elections matter. Now I am doing ________ (insert build the wall, ban Muslims, whatever...) like I said I was going to. You know, like I told the American public who then, acknowledging what I said, voted for me like I just mentioned. You, the media, choose to focus on a couple million protestors of the 50 million who voted against me, instead of the 50 million of people who voted for me to do ________ (insert build the wall, ban Muslims, whatever...). This is why you, the media, are dishonest."
Then after every follow-up question he should say "hashtag...elections matter".
I think he is a trainwreck, but he should have kept his Twitter mouth shut, got competent lawyers involved to rollout legislation, and then went about implementing the plans he wants. He should be crushing it right now with getting his plans implemented.
I am not saying I support Trump (I don't), but just critiquing his strategy.
