Please someone tell me what has this administration done to make sure the attacks on our elections don’t happen again ? Because If it’s zero then I don’t care what the Democrats say or do or how the impeachment investigations are perceived by the nation ! the fix will be in again on behalf of the criminal in charge. so you guys can debate all you want on how the democratic candidates should behave or what message they should be running on it will be for naught if this administration is making sure the Russians have carte blanch on our elections !
If Mueller Report Was 'Tip Of The Iceberg,' What More Is Lurking Unseen?
If the political interference documented in special counsel Robert Mueller's report was just the "tip of the iceberg," what else is lurking out of sight beneath the surface?
That was the question posed by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein in a speech in New York City, one in which he defended his handling of the Russia investigation and suggested there could be much more to it beyond that contained in Mueller's report.
"The bottom line is, there was overwhelming evidence that Russian operatives hacked American computers and defrauded American citizens, and that is only the tip of the iceberg of a comprehensive Russian strategy to influence elections, promote social discord and undermine America, just like they do in many other countries," Rosenstein said on Thursday.
There’s no way we are having a legit election 2020 no fucking way , today’s phone convo is a straight up power play from these two dictators that’s correct I’m calling the Baffoon a dictator he passed his 1st test ! Telling the house Democrats to basically go fuck yourselves I’m running this country and Putin has my back !
Careful how you answer those questions Donny. There's going to be a number of folks dotting your Is and crossing your Ts, just to be sure. Hoepfully, you'll be under oath this time.
Between the lines: Mueller, whose investigation did not find a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia, did not indict Trump Jr., despite speculation that he would.
Unlike many congressional investigations in the Trump era, the Senate Intelligence probe — led by Republican chairman Richard Burr and Democratic vice chair Mark Warner — has been largely bipartisan.
The fact that they're subpoenaing Trump Jr. is a strong signal that he declined a request to appear before the committee again.
The backstory: Trump Jr. testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee in September 2017 that he was only "peripherally aware" of proposed plans for the Moscow project. His testimony was released. He testified for a total of more than 25 hours with three different committees, per a source familiar with the situation.
In an interview with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham in January 2019, Trump Jr. downplayed his knowledge of the discussions about a possible Trump Tower in Moscow, saying that the project was a creation of President Trump's former attorney Michael Cohen: "We don't know anything about it. Ultimately, it was Michael Cohen essentially trying to get a deal done."
What we know: Cohen claimed in his testimony before the House Oversight Committee in February that Trump Jr. was more aware of the project than that. During the 2016 presidential campaign, Cohen testified, he briefed Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump about the proposed Trump Tower Moscow project about 10 times.
The project was formalized in a letter of intent signed by Trump in October 2015, per CNN, and the Wall Street Journal reported that the Trump Organization talked about the project with a Russian developer.
And Buzzfeed reported in January that there were architectural plans and drawings showing what the tower would have looked like.
Worth noting: Cohen pleaded guilty in November to lying to Congress. He reported to prison on Monday to serve out his three-year prison sentence.
^ That coming from the senate with a republican chairing the committee seems pretty noteworthy...
The truth rarely comes out in a torrent or a flood but rather in dribs and drabs. The repub establishment loathes Team Trump Treason and his Klan. It’s just a matter of time despite Mitchy Baby’s attempts to obfuscate and cover up.

I believe we are seeing the first steps of the GOP throwing the trump family under the bus.
They are trying to look like heros just in time for re-election.
I doubt they’re trying to be heroes by abandoning Team Trump Treason as some of them are in deep red Team Trump Treason states. However, it will become a campaign issue where they’ll be portrayed as more loyal to Team Trump Treason rather than the American institution, ideals and values they have the pleasure and privilege of serving, particularly in Senate races. Establishment repubs are fed up and it’s tough to be “law and order” when 400 + AGs say Team Trump Treason would be arrested if not for being POTUS. Oh, I can’t wait to hear how the evangelicals defend Liberty U’s porn star wannabe.

Right from the get-go, the relationship between Trump and the GOP has seemed a convenient alliance for both, and it makes sense that when that relationship became one-sided, it’d be severed and the more powerful of the two would exploit the situation for their own benefit. You could be right that this is the start.

I don't agree. I think being in the majority is more important to them. If they damage Trump, it suppresses turnout which affects the majority. Power is always the catalyst and they have it now in the Senate.
