This new stuff is weak ass. Sounds like Billy and Maynard joined up with Coldplay.
  • I love The Doomed and TalkTalk.  Disillusioned, not so much.
  • They are playing Mizzou Arena here in Columbia. So weird....

  • Listening to this new song Talk Talk - never listened to this band once in my life. Interesting...

Ive listened to most of it and think its just ok. Unfortunately, nothing that is going to stand the test of time for me. I think Talk Talk is probably best song on the album. Pretty typical Perfect Circle sounding instrumentals and Maynards vocals dont really stand out anywhere in the album that ive heard so far.  Not really in a hurry to listen to it more or give it another spin, although i will.

The thoughts and ideas expressed lyrically are definitely a highlight of the album for me.

But I liked it on first go.

Didn’t give it a totally focused listen, but it was better than I expected. Somewhat similar to some of the better Puscifer stuff.

I was pleasantly surprised the the new album was on white vinyl. There was no indication that it was colored vinyl.

I've only listened to it once. It always takes me a few spins on an album to fully appreciate it, but I did enjoy "The Doomed".

Where did you see new dates announced?  I don't see anything on their page: https://www.aperfectcircle.com/frame/

I do like "So Long....". It's different, but still has their sound.

I'm interested to hear more of the album. I'm keeping my expectations low, and so far I haven't been disappointed with what I've heard.

The two shows I saw last fall were killer, I'll definitely try to see them again the next time they swing through the Northeast, regardless of how the rest of the album sounds.

Did anybody see them in Grand Rapids last year? Just wondering what that was like.

WOW! Love the new album!  Four listens in, and "Delicious"  is my favorite track. Love Maynard's vocals on that one.

The Mrs. & I were tentatively planning a trip to AZ in September for our 5th year wedding anniversary.

Looks like we’ll be putting that off for a month, and swinging through Denver instead. I just grabbed a pair of tickets for APC at Red Rocks.

It will be nice to scratch this venue off the bucket list this year.

I don't really love or really hate the new album.  I've given it 3 listens and it has gotten better with each listen.  It's different with it being a little slower and not a lot of memorable hooks.  But I like the themes of some of the songs and definitely be picking up the vinyl.

Fav tracks: Disillusioned, Get The Lead Out, and TalkTalk

I think it's a solid album hard to follow up Thirteenth Step which was a masterpiece.

    Good job, Merkin!

I have fallen in love with "So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish".  The band, as always, is beautiful and loved by me, but this one - holy shit!

...and I dig the jammy McCready-ish guitar.  Howerdell fucking rocks - and plays the guitar given to him by Reznor.  Not sure if on this particular track.

Plus, the lyrics?  Good fucking god.
