  • I have a pair for the November 8th show in Boston at Agganis Arena. They are located in section 104, row H, seats 9 and 10. I paid 178 for the pair, and would be willing to move them along for 150. PM me if interested. I could transfer the tickets online.

I'm thinking about taking in the Albany show in addition to Boston. It's only a 2-1/2 hour drive for me, and it's a Saturday night. My wife & I could score the hotel for free, and she doesn't mind hanging at the indoor pool while I take in the show (she's not much of a fan). Granted they don't change up the setlist much if any from night to night and I'm seeing them 3 nights prior, but this is only the 2nd time they're coming through the Northeast in over 12 years... I'm in the process of talking myself into it, it seems like a no brainer. :D

It helps that there are still decent tickets available through ticketmaster too. There's also a TON of VIP tickets available, I imagine they'll be released to the general public at some point, so I think I could score a damn good seat, especially if I'm going for a single.

Speaking of VIP, has anyone here done one? There are great 3rd row seats available for the lowest VIP tier (around $260 after fees) - I'm not sure if all the schwag is worth it though (that & GUARANTEEING myself an awesome third row seat as opposed to hoping I grab one if / when they drop the VIP and just sell them for 'face').

    Decisions decisions...

Regardless, I'm pretty psyched my wife is willing to make the trip with me. After Cornell, Petty, Bowie & Prince all going in the last couple of years, I'm even more motivated to take in these experiences when I can and while these bands still sound good.

Ok I need someone to walk me off the edge on this one or maybe give me a gentle push. I am thinking of making the trip to Laval, QC on Nov 14. Here are some of my concerns. I really enjoy the studio versions of APC songs but have never read or heard anything about their live performances. Are they worth a 9 hour drive? Unfortunately they play closer to me but I am working on those dates. Also I have an opportunity to get front row seats but will not know the actual seat location for 135$ a piece. Am I going to not like my seats if I am all the way on the ends close to the wing seating? Any help or advice would be great thanks in advance. My gut is telling me to just do it.

We had fairly expensive front row and center seats at the Bowl, but it was SO worth it.  I'd say far-side seats and the drive are worth it too :)

Billy Howerdell screeching toward the front of the stage during the opener (The Package) is one of my ever-favorite memories.  The music translates live so well.  Check some out on youtube.

IDK what to tell you buddy, I'm hoping someone talks me down from buying a VIP ticket to Albany (which would make my 7th show after I see them in Boston a few days prior), so I'm not the guy to help you!

Hope that’s the worst they have to offer. Only redeeming quality is Maynard is singing, not the particular performance mind you. The rest sounds like some shitty 80s metal and Billy Howerdell’s crummy solo material had a butt baby.

After a couple of listens, I'm not too enthused about the new single. In fairness, there's very little they've done since the 13th Step that excites me.

I hope no songs from MDM or 13th Step get scratched from the setlist for this.

Oh, too bad... their new single sucks (IMO).

  • Has anyone here been to any of the recent shows?

I’m going Wed & Fri of next week, just curious to hear some reviews.
  • Was at last nights show. Band sounded great, Maynards voice was spot on. Thought Doomed and Feathers both sound good live, not sure about them ending with Feathers though. Outsider would be a better closer I think. Maynard also said the new album will be out in 2018.

    Nice!

I’m disappointed to see Magdalena is getting scratched from the setlist, but what can you do? I’m looking forward to the shows. It’s been 6+ years!

Heard from some people that  APC has a strict no camera/video policy.  This true?

They did on DC. People were still using them but the ushers for the DC show were constantly going up to people to put their phones away.

Yep, just like Tool shows. Just like Puscifer shows. Easy to tell who is behind the policy.

In Providence a year & a half ago, I glanced down at my phone in between the opening act and Puscifer, and an usher was on me like a fly on $hit asking me to put it away. I couldn't believe how quickly the guy reacted.

I don't mind, it was pretty cool to see a show without a bunch of lit up screens distracting me, but yeah... they were pretty damn strict about it.

They usually are at Tool & APC shows too, depending on the venue.

yeah i just got the email about it.   Gonna to be a little weird, but oh well i've been to shows before without a camera/phone.  Although i may try to sneak a pic or two since i'm pretty close. :worried:

pretty cool show tonight, new songs sounded good, I dug Hourglass a lot.  Also Counting Bodies Like Sheep was awesome live!  Was pretty surprised they didn't play Judith, but looking at the other set lists they have yet to play it this year.  The no camera policy i didn't mind although it was weird to see no one using them (I think  a few people snapped a picture).
