I also find it very interesting that you questioned someone in the Trump thread for saying "muffin top" but when it's convenient for you, calling someone a "whore" is okay. THAT is the definition of hypocrite!Post edited by HesCalledDyer onStar Lake 00 / Pittsburgh 03 / State College 03 / Bristow 03 / Cleveland 06 / Camden II 06 / DC 08 / Pittsburgh 13 / Baltimore 13 / Charlottesville 13 / Cincinnati 14 / St. Paul 14 / Hampton 16 / Wrigley I 16 / Wrigley II 16 / Baltimore 20 / Camden 22 / Baltimore 24 / Raleigh I 25 / Raleigh II 25 / Pittsburgh I 250

I think it's time to ignore. They are trolling this thread in hopes to derail it completely.HesCalledDyer said:

Please take your "argument" somewhere else and grow the fuck up.
This is an important topic, and not just for women.

I was to post my story yesterday however couldn't get a wifi connection, I certainly was not going post by phone my fingers would lock up.
As I look back on this I at times see it with hilarity but as it went down it was faaaaar from anything funny. Anyway, it was nearly 40 years ago damn time has flown by. I was 17, just moved from Brooklyn NY to MD. This being my new home I wanted to take an adventurous trip to DC the nation's capital on a brand new not finished subway system. I walked all parts of the city, the governmental side to the seedy side of town. Back then on 14th St you could find any drug you wanted to men and women who walked the streets for money.
Well curiousity got the better of me and I wanted to see one of those xxx 25c movie houses. Being 17 I couldn't go in so I stood on my toes on this hot summer day trying peeping in to see what I could see. Out of the corner of my eye I could see and feel a presence behind me. Only to see this man, a big man looking, staring at me. He says to me...."you have some nice legs" I was like "say what" rather quietly. He continues by say more insistently " you REALLY have some nice legs" ( back then I three sport athlete playing hockey, baseball and basketball....I think the term was I had hops). The look of bewilderment crossed my niece face. Before I could blink the man approached me with his hands out, then says, "let's be friends" well before he was able to get close enough to leap at me I took off running. Never in my life I ran so fast, I don't think Usain Bolt could catch me I was frightened out of my mind. With my side in pain I ran the mile and half straight to the subway stop and went straight home. I never went back to DC for about a year by myself.
I only spoke of what happened to me to my sister about 10 years ago ONLY because we were talking about abuse my daughter faced at the hands of her mother when she was three. My sister thought it was funny what happened to me she said, "well Cas you did have very nice legs," I said "yeah but I certainly didn't want a man telling me that". I think somewhere in one of these threads someone spoke of why these women are ONLY speaking up now on what things Trump might have done to them years ago. It just isn't an easy thing to step forward and talk about, look at my case I was never touched but the trauma of what could've occurred kept me for many years from talking about it. Not many young boys want to talk about another man being attracted to them....not many, the same can be said for women as well. Till the time comes when they say to themselves enough is enough and decide I'm going to do something about what happened to me. These women are doing so and I'm glad they are.

Rock on, g. Thank you for sharing (and baring) that of yourself. Doesn't matter if you're male or female, no one deserves to be subjected to that shit. Freeing ourselves from that veil of experience and confusion and goddamned shame is liberating, and it really can, does, make a difference not only to ourselves but to others, to do so.
Fuck knows many of us kept silent for too long.0 -
Closed for review.
Now reopened. This topic Not Okay is an important discussion that needs to be had but do not indulge in name-calling, especially when it's sexist and misogynistic. It's not ok and puts your forum account at risk.

Back in the day... we used to police each other more. For better or worse, guys that mistreated gals got their asses kicked.
Men are the problem with the world today. I realize I'm making a generalization that this forum typically hates (what about the nice men?). I think of myself as a good man and a good father, but I can admit to the fact that not all men behave very well and we should not be trusted until that trust is earned.
I have a son that treats his beautiful girlfriend like a queen- I love watching them together. I have a daughter who is at that age where things are going to be happening. I'll be on guard as much as I can for pigs who haven't been raised with values."My brain's a good brain!"0 -

We already had one troll in this thread, don't need another. If you don't have anything of substance to add to the topic, please keep your useless murmur to yourself.

Why do you have to do this? Really, why? How does your idiotic drivel help any conversation? It doesn't.PJfanwillneverleave1 said:

This topic is about the #NotOkay movement. It is for discussion of said movement - a campaign for people to tell their stories of sexual assault.Star Lake 00 / Pittsburgh 03 / State College 03 / Bristow 03 / Cleveland 06 / Camden II 06 / DC 08 / Pittsburgh 13 / Baltimore 13 / Charlottesville 13 / Cincinnati 14 / St. Paul 14 / Hampton 16 / Wrigley I 16 / Wrigley II 16 / Baltimore 20 / Camden 22 / Baltimore 24 / Raleigh I 25 / Raleigh II 25 / Pittsburgh I 250 -
And allowing comments like men are the problems of the world do not help victims heal.HesCalledDyer said:

So as I was saying
TB - If someone said Women are the problem with the world today. I realize I'm making a generalization that this forum typically hates (what about the nice women?). I think of myself as a good woman and a good mother, but I can admit to the fact that not all women behave very well and we should not be trusted until that trust is earned.
What would be said to that poster?
