Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

I flew back to CT last time they played there. Personally i thought the set was great. it rcoked from start to end...plus we got to hear "Im Open" for the first time its ever been played in a set.

i agree with the people who say "going to see them is never a bad time" one of 4 shows im seeing this year. with it being the last one for me....i hope they go out with a bang!

Good question. *Maybe* Hartford 98 because it was stopped short, and the sound in my area was muffled and echoey. It was a fun show, and opening with Corduroy was badass, but it wasn't on the level, at least of the other 2 shows I saw that tour (8/20 and 9/16).

I've truly never seen a bad show, but some weren't in the same league as others. It is easier for me to list my favorite half dozen or so, because I feel like if I list a show that wasn't spectacular, I can still remember moments from that show that were awesome, you know? Hartford 98 is like that....I had a blast (except for the pepper spray of course), but I distinctly remember feeling a little let down when they ended short. Kind of like Albany '03; it was an awesome show that just seemed to end right when it hit its stride.

Even if it does suck, id still rather be at a bad Pearl Jam show than do anything else. IMO, a sub par PJ show is still probably better than a show most good shows by other bands. If the weather is good and its a Friday night, what the hell else more can you ask for? Especially since many of us are going to Mansfield and MSG.

Given the fact that I consider the phrase "bad Pearl Jam show" to be an oxymoron since there is no such thing, ANY Pearl Jam show is better than whatever else any of us would be doing that night instead. Also, we forget that this band has set the bar so high to the point that we almost expect an epic show every time they play.

Also, I am especially excited for this tour because there is no new album to promote which means we aren't guaranteed to hear WWS, Severed Hand, LW, Comatose at every single show which leaves room in the set list for some older, classic stuff.

I agree. I think it will be funny if the MSG shows turn out to be generic PJ shows and Hartford, WPB, Columbia, VB all turn out to be the shows no one should have missed.

It's a fair point... i just hope it means the curfew is later than the other venues.

The way I look at it.. is that what (usually) makes a show special is when they go PAST curfew with extra stuff.

So if they start at say 8:45 and the curfew is 11... then after that is gravy.

I can't imagine its going to be 9:15-11... so I'm HOPING that the curfew is 11:30 and maybe they can push midnight...

    Here's hoping, anyway

Tom Petty played Hartford last night... ended at 11:45... So.... Obviously no 11pm curfew...

And I'm NOT made out of money. I can't follow them, like you all do. The last time I saw TWO shows...[points to signature], was in COLLEGE.

SO...enough bragging about how many shows you'll see a tour. At least you're getting to see them. Some people don't even get to see them ONCE.
