Is It Ok To Wear A Pj Shirt To A Show

my take is that PJ is similar to a modern day Grateful dead band and it's followers ,.. as both bands have their similarities...and when you have some true dedicated followers/fans as they have,. wearing their T's at their shows,.. there is a lot more to it,.. for one,.. its the easiest way to meet and greet each other when we all arive to the city,.. then seeing each other at bars, museums etc etc,.. i've met some of the best people traveling our great planet because thankfully they were wearing PJ t's and that gave us the "in" to spark up a conversation.. the PearlJam family i've found,.. have been some awesome and interesting characters and people alike,. so again,. it's not just at the show,. it's the whole experience wearing the PJ t's.. and as others have mentioned... it's also nice to see the now hundreds of shows and t's they have out there... i like meeting up with people that will have a specific show shirt from 10+ years ago or such that i was at and heck,.. i'll buy em' a beer to celebrate that great show we were both at... and if you want to flow incognito and not visually support the PJ family out in public,... that's what makes our great planet we all share to live on... as we all know.. "it takes all kinds to make this world go around"!  PS.. for the record,.. i wore a PJ shirt to my first 25 shows,. now i've worn the same Pittsburgh Steelers Jersey with "ANY NAME" embroidered on the back to the last 21 straight shows... as i was luck enough to hit the last 5 shows in 2022 and then i did the 8 shows in 2023,..which for the first time in my life,.. kids are outta the house,.. the wife just wants to hit a few shows here and there,.. so getting to do 13 PJ shows in a row and taking different friends and family members to each was something short of amazing,.. and by the 4th or 5th show,..wearing a Steelers jersey with the ANY NAME on back,.. i had fans now recognized me from the previous shows... the PearlJam family has some great people...Happy Holidays to my fellow PJ's fans and hope they announce another tour soon,. as i'll see you at least one of them if not more and i'll be in my Steelers Jersey,.      Peace from PJB

In almost thirty years, I've seen PJ 34 times. I've never worn a Pearl Jam t-shirt in a PJ concert.

I was once a curmudgeon and thought wearing a shirt to the band's show was lame.  

Now I'm older and wiser and realize everyone can do whatever the hell they want! (Went to 6 PJ shows this year and I think I wore a PJ shirt to half of them)

I do what I want and I'm definitely that guy [gal] at PJ shows. I had to convince my husband though.

I totally agree!  What shirt I or others wear to the show is WAY down the list of things i'm concerned about.

Wear what you want.. this all started with a movie years ago. No one cares.. quit trying to be a hipster because you think you're too cool to wear a PJ shirt at a PJ concert. I'll wear 5 at the same time if I want..

I wear the same shirt to every show. The grey Get Right shirt. I have three of them. Those who know, know. It is 100% ok to wear your merch. You definitely paid for it. I guess it is ok to wear jerseys to a sporting event but not to a show? Silly.

I saw a badass old school pic of Jason Newstead from the early nineties today.  He was slapping the bass whilst wearing a METALLICA shirt on stage! If a band member can wear their own shirt at the show, sure as fuck fans can!  Discussion/Thread closed....

That is a fantastic shirt.  I somehow have two of them.  It is very subtle, you would not even notice it is a PJ t-shirt.  It runs small and was a little snug to start with and unfortunately I have gained a few pounds to where I can't wear them anymore.  Maybe I need to get that shirt out to serve as motivation to diet and exercise more just so I can fit in that cool Get Right t-shirt.  Only problem then is would all the cool show specific shirts I picked up recently be too big? 

 Now I go with the navy PJ Yield t-shirt to shows.  Very subtle as well.  Plenty of conversations started at airports, etc.
