Looks like the rain might be inevitable but the show will still be great. I doubt they stop the show like last time if it's just rain and no lightning. I just hope the set is nothing like 2013 at wrigley. I thought it was wayyyy to slow....especially after that 3 hour delay. They should've come out with some hits to bring the crowd back but instead it was pretty weak IMO. All the way, future days and some others that were brutal. I've seen them about 12 times now and I still think that was by far the "worst" set list they've ever played. I say worst loosely cuz they're all good. Even at their "worst" they kill it. Dying to see red mosquito, garden, alone, whipping, love reign, rats, immortality or indifference! Gonna be a great 2 shows provided the Lightning holds off.

Well let me say I highly doubt they cancel the show unless of course lightning comes into play and yes they do have Sunday open but, I have to tell you I have 6th row dead center for Wilco on that night at Pritzker Pavillion which, by far is acoustically superior to Wrigley! I would have a very difficult decision on my hands and since I'm also going Monday at this moment I highly doubt I blow Wilco off for PJ!

If there is lightning within six miles of the venue, they'll stop the show, until it moves through. As far as just rain, as long as it doesn't interfere with the band. Your going to have to enjoy a rainy show.

Glad I'm only going Monday (weather looks clear as of now). 2013 was rough...in case of thunderstorms for show #1 (90% chance right now), maybe they'd move the show to Sunday?
In that case I'd be looking for tickets for that as well since I'm flying in on Sunday morning

    Skilling says!

Flood producing downpours possible. High temps in the middle 80s. Becoming partly cloudy at night. SW winds shift to the north by evening.

Should be a fun day followed by an epic night!

    Then Monday looks like paradise:

Mostly sunny with high temperatures in the middle to upper 70s with cooler readings along the lakefront.
Fair skies overnight. Light winds become on-shore during the day then turn southerly at night.

The key question is how one defines "at night." Big difference between the rain clearing up at 8 p.m. and the rain clearing up at 11 p.m.

It's not really possible to move it because you need to coordinate heaven and hell levels local government to run such a big show. The stadium crew, police, public transit, neighborhood associations, etc., are all heavily effected. They aren't all gonna suddenly change their plans just to accommodate our whinging.

Baseball games get rained out and replayed the next day all the time. I'm sure Wrigley has procedures in place.

It's not optimal to postpone until Sunday, but if Saturday becomes undoable, I don't see how a re-scheduling is impossible.

How tuned into the weather situation do you think the band/management are at this point? Is there hand wringing going on or are they like, it's Wednesday, it'll be FINE? I hope they wouldn't change anything up early based on a forecast. It's going to be wet Saturday, that much seems clear. The devil shall be in the details of the when and the severity of such weather.

I thought that too at first... but I would think concerts are more complex. Hopefully we never have to find out.

Yeah. I just assumed that they had the day off Sunday in between shows in case of bad weather.

Dark sky forecast is looking promising. 56% chance light rain through day ending around show time. Probably won't have a real accurate idea until Thurs or Fri, but I think we can bag the cancelation talk.

I was thinking the same thing. Next time play Miller Park! You always know the show (or game) will go on there. Not the same ambiance but hell we just want to hear them play!
