I mean really, from two terms of a well spoken charismatic man like Barrack Obama to CLINTON VS TRUMP??? Are you kidding me??? Does this disturb anyone else here as much as it does me? I know, rhetorical question, obviously it does. But we keep going back and forth with THOSE TWO???

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! :anguished:

Are you part of the 60+ group that think she's untrustworthy?

Curious as to why you're with her? Besides Trump being unqualified, etc

Were you proud to vote for Obama?

I felt privileged to get to vote and generally pleased with the results though not 100%.

Ok so proud might not be the right term but I can't imagine how much different in terms of policy ect would be under Hillary than it was with Obama.

Confession: Sometimes I feel like I've gone from 65 (inside joke) to zero in three months flat. Why? Because of my contribution to all the bitterness, anger, frustration, arguing and uncertainty around a very shaky political scene in America. And what has come of it? Tell me one thing. One freaking thing that has come of all this? Anyone changed their minds? Anyone really feel good about this election process this year? Anybody really and truly find any hope or inspiration as a result of all this? And here I am, putting a negative spin on things. Wow, great. Fuck me.

What makes Hilary so much more untrustworthy than ANY other politician? All of them lie. Even bernie has lied. All of them go back on their campaign promises when they get elected. So what makes Hilary the queen of mistrust?

How can anyone feel good, we have the 2 most unpopular candidates in US history! But I have found hope and inspiration. Even though Bernie went back to being an Independent senator, his message has caused so MANY more leaders to emerge from grass-roots efforts and they are now gettting out into their communities and being leaders. His movement has just begun.

Look at DWS. Tim Canova, her opponent for Florida Congress is now benefitting from her recent downfall, and her hopes of continuing as incumbent, may not come to fruition. See, progress is being made, just not within either of the 2 corrupt party system. Just more of the same from them.

You're clearly not a veteran, you're not a minority, you're not paid minimum-wage, you're fine with war and drone strikes, you're fine with bought and paid for elections. You are fine with big banks screwing the American people.

This helps illustrate the point I'm trying to make with this thread. Look what we're faced with:

Voting for Trump. I think most people who choose Trump are just pissed off and will vote for Trump because he gets them fired up. Not a great reason but there it is.

Voting for Hillary. People either vote for Hillary because they are afraid Trump will win or they truly like her. But why? How can you support a candidate who is untrustworthy. As Phool said, this is based on fact. I know people who work in government. They know what she did was hugely wrong. They don't take this lightly. Not at all. Nor should we.

Voting for a third party candidate who you believe is better than the other to but who you know will loose.

So you either go with a man who is grossly under-qualified, a criminal or an outsider with no chance.

    60 to zero and screwed.

In all the examples you gave, Clinton is a far better choice than Trump.

I would wonder how any progress can think otherwise, but then I remember that you don't even think Trump is a real candidate. He's just a plant from crooked Clinton to ensure she wins. You have 3 old photographs as proof.

There are some here who are truly excited about and supportive of either Trump or Clinton. I suppose I should be happy for you. It must be nice to feel good about your candidate. But those of you who do feel that way might want to consider that a HUGE number of people (I'm guessing the majority) are very, very disappointed in the choices we are faced with this year- possibly even more so than ever. That says a LOT about where we are as a country.

60 to near zero on the scale of hopefulness.

And many, many find that a depressing thought.

The fact remains, most will either vote irrationally or out of anger (Trump) or out of fear of Trump (Clinton) and we will continue down a path leading further and further from democracy. At some point maybe more of us will vote for whom we trust the most instead of voting out of anger or fear.

The sad thing is people make the comment of I am voting for Trump because I hate Clinton or I am voting for Clinton because I hate Trump...ultimately, no matter who was running people will vote party lines.
