Are we going to be able to add games through downloads?
Man Nintendo has struck gold with Pokemon and now I think they'll continue to release systems and make a fortune. Good for them considering wii and wii U can be considered busts.

What do you mean by Wii being bust?
"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"
Loved kicking Tysons ass in Punch Out. So many good games there: Mega Man 2, Castlevania, Ghosts N Goblins, ninja Gaiden..... Would have liked to see the original Double Dragon over the sequel but thats just nitpicking.
And so you see, I have come to doubt All that I once held as true I stand alone without beliefs The only truth I know is you.

How was the Wii a bust? It sold more than the PS3 and the Xbox...

Wii: 101 million units sold 360: 84 million units sold PS3: 83.8 million units sold
The Wii won that generation...even though it didn't last as long.
The Wii is far from being a bust. Totally changed modern day gaming with the controller. Look at how quickly Microsoft and Sony jumped on board with that concept after the Wii was released.
Nintendo, even if it struggles, can always rely on its past to make money, in one way or the other. They are the nostalgic staple of many current gamers, and that is big business, even if they dont have the most impressive console specs/gaming library on the market.

Exactly. I never owned a Wii, but pretty much everyone else I know had one. It was great for the casual gamer and from kids to older adults. It was tremendously successful. Though, with that said, it was also probably the system that collected the most dust after it's first year or two.

It wasn't a bust but I don't think it changed modern gaming. There was motion detection beforehand and the future belongs to virtual reality.

Most things exist beforehand. Nintendo made motion controls explode, as seen by it's success. It was also a console people bought games for, more games on avarage than for the 360 or PS3.
So it was ofc one of the biggest successes in gaming history.
The problem though was that they attracted a lot of new consumers that didn't stick around in their eco system and they also devaluated the brand for hardcore gamers. As evident by the uphill battle they have now. Compared to Sony who had problem with the PS3 but still had a strong brand and a loyal fanbase who wanted to stick around for the PS4.
But hopefully NX (releasing in March 2017) will be a huge success for them and earn gamers and third party developers respect.

Nintendo neglected it during the last years of its life. But it has like 9 games sold per console on average, so people bought and played games on it. Not just Wii Sports.
But for a lot of Wii Sports/ Wii Fit soccer moms I bet it got thrown into a closet after a year.

"Most things exist beforehand"- I like that quote lol
Look at the top 10 selling games of 2015. All use a standard controller. The future will include virtual reality aspects and location detection like Pokemon Go.

My nephew still plays Wii. (I refuse to buy him a PS4 or X Box because I know he will zone out and only want to do that 24 hrs per day. (Like most kids))
It took me almost 2 years to find a Wii on sale. Bowling kicked ass. But the hardware limitations led to a lot of shitty games aimed towards kids. And I could never figure out why in the hell they didn't have a HD output!
Tecmo Super Bowl (licensing probably an issue) RBI Baseball (same thing) Contra RC Pro Am Baseball Stars Ice Hockey Blades of Steel Bionic Commando Metal Gear Pro Wrestling
Overall, it's a solid list of games
Baseball Stars, other than NCAA football for Playstation my fav video game. You could climb the wall!!!

I also wonder if you fall behind by too much in a game can you stomp on the floor and cause it to re-set?
even if I look and act really crazy.
For years, Nintendo has been trying to recreate the insane success of the NES, when video games weren't 'video games,' they were 'playing Nintendo.'"
So true.
