I've been in the back of the arena / venue, had seats as close as 11th row and also got up close to the rail in GA around 10 years ago..... I would take those up close seats all day every day... laser / light show be damned.

Watching Justin from 11th row in Bangor two years ago was awesome, he really enjoys playing those shows.

Looks similar to the Puscifer one we got at the LA show in 2015.

I'm so looking forward this next album.  They just keep spiraling out......
One is a scarab and the other is a Lucha Libre?

    I don't see any resemblance.
The artwork is comparable to my old eyes.  I especially love that the image changes (as above) when lit.

Show in KC last night was awesome! Got to witness it from the 9th row.
Isn't further back actually a better spot?  I enjoyed them from the back rather than being up close.  There is a lot to take in.

Also what outfit is Maynard wearing now since the riot suit is supposed to be retired?
Saw them further back last time in 2016. Sound wasn’t great then in the back corner of the arena. The sound was incredible this time around. It was amazing watching Adam and Danny up close.
First time we saw them was in the "pit" at the Forum in LA (there were maybe 50 of us there; we stood back a ways); sound was decent.

Staples Center, from way up high.  What a feast!  It was one of my best visual / aural experiences.  Good venue for shows.

Last time was at the Nokia Theatre; we were about ten rows in on the floor.  The best yet.  And the sound was incredible.

I don't need to see Maynard to get lost in that voice!  The band and artwork are such beauties in themselves.

was thinking about this the other day. Nothing yet, not even the album title. Watch us not get anything else until like the day before.

Personally, the only thing I’m desperate for is the announcement of more US tour dates.
I’ve waited this long for the new album, I can wait a little longer.

Blair just posted the newsletter and said he hoped to have something next month. Though the timing is ambiguous as due to travelling I don't know if he posted it on the 31st or the 1st. Another way of fucking with us I guess.

From what I've read there aren't many songs but all are very long. So my guess is 5-7 songs and Danny is rumoured to have a synth solo or something to that effect. TBH Lateralus and 10KD had 6-7 ideas, some huge some not so, so expecting maybe 9-10 tracks including segues and a possible 2 disc set like Metallica's Hardwired i.e. not a double album just double discs. Packaging is probably the reason for the release date being so late-MJK said summer isn't generally a good time to release-spring and autumn are-so this should ensure not only a better release time and more sales but also time to get the packaging exactly right as per Adam's specs.

Keep an eye on the setlists as they start their European tour in Berlin this evening. Very jealous.

It’ll probably be the same setlist they’ve been playing. They’re pretty stubborn when it comes to changing it up. Sucks that they’re so reliant on their video presentation. It’d be much better if they’d just post random psych visuals and play whatever they wanted night to night.

It's a long shot I am sure, but I will be in Amsterdam for work next week. Anyone have one extra ticket for the Tool June 18 show? Please DM me if so. Willing to pay a bit more then face value or such.

Even though it is Tool, I'm surprised no further info on the album has dropped.  Anyone have a clue on pre-sales?

I would guess once the Euro tour ends and the holiday is over something will be announced.
Or I could see it just show up for pre-order randomly one day next month unannounced

I feel the same way about the unannounced, which calls my chances of getting the vinyl into question (should the release on wax).  I will aim to buy a second one for someone on the message boards, always up for helping PJ fans.

I'd say we have something shortly after the band gets back Stateside. Maybe Maynard will stay in LA for a while to do U.S. press for the album (apparently there was a listening party for the new album in Amsterdam for press with an embargo in place) before he has to get back to Arizona for harvest. Packaging is supposedly the main reason for the later release date, and there might be less songs than people anticipate (just longer songs).

In the meantime have a giggle at this.

Demo from 1991 called 72826 was on Apple Itunes for a bit but now not available. I think it is still on Google Play though. Looks like we are going to get all of Tool on streaming sites at some point hopefully.

Lincoln, Nebraska,  Kansas City, MO  and St. Louis, MO are all on Dime. The 2 MO shows have two different sources. I have one of two of them and the sound is pretty good
