Not to be greedy, but would love a reissue of their back catalogue.
A reissue and remaster of Opiate and Undertow would be fabulous.
    It's a hopeless situation...

Aenima too please and maybe an actual release of 10,000 days.

I would be ecstatic if I could get my hands on an Aenima vinyl.
  • I’m hoping this album doesn’t have a song under 12 minutes long and is one of the best musical experiences we’ve seen in 20+ years.

It's the only way I'm giving TOOL a pass for not making shit for 13 years.

I am going in with no hype on this one just like I did with 10,000 Days and I was able to enjoy that one.

Same. I'm even coming in to this expecting a crapper.

But I so badly want it to be epic.

I bought this poster when i saw them last during the 10,000 Days tour at the Tower Theater in Philly/Upper Darby. Thing is like 40x60. Don't think there are any poster frames that big. Cool poster but it's been curled up in one of my rooms in the corner. :disappointed:

I don't think Aenima, Lateralus and 10,000 days need a reissue.
Would love to see Opiate and Undertow get a remaster as they sound like they need it.

tough to live up to 13 years of hype. But I think the new album will be stellar and hold up with the rest of there catalog.

10000 Days hasn't been released on vinyl to the best of my knowledge so that needs to be taken care of along with Ænima's release once the new album is out. But it is the last record on their contract so I think we're in for a treat or two once they are free of obligations as that opens up the door for the Opiate redo, the live DVD from the Lateralus tour etc. Hopefully Salival will get out again. I have a signed VHS copy and really want the DVD version.

I forgot about Salival. That No Quarter cover is amazing. A perfect song for them.

Their cover of "You Lied" is loads better than Peach's.  That scream in the middle...my god.  Maynards's is transcendental, Peach's is the worst recorded scream in history.

I couldn’t believe when I heard the first few notes of No Quarter to open their Monster Mash set in 2015. I never thought I would see them play that live.

    The costumes were fun too.
  • From reading this thread and catching Aenima on Sirius, I’m back on the Tool excitement train. I saw them a dozen times between 1995-2000 and haven’t seen them since. I watched some YouTube live vids at work the other day too. I’m all in again!

Maynard’s apparently shot down the talk of an April release! But who knows, he might be taking the piss. I’ll take May 1st then!

    Right?

It never ends. Likely some extra time needed because Poosifer is planning on releasing an ep.

No time for Tool, haha! I hope they squeeze in a few more APC dates too!
