This album could be an epic masterpiece a la Rolling Stones top 10 albums on their list of 500 and it will never live up to the 12 years of hype/waiting we have been going through.

If Maynard truly forced himself on someone, underage or not, hang him high. Sounds like bs to me at this point though. I think some of these situations are the product of re-remembering things in a different light years later, based on experiences of others. Not everybody is a victim.

Not to dismiss scumbag behavior, but a person has to be smarter or less naive than to head backstage after theyre told “no your boyfriend can’t come”, just for the chance to meet somebody famous. Dickheads should be punished, but people need to have accountability for themselves as well.
I agree that if there is truth to these allegations... Maynard can rot in Hell. I also agree with your second passage: I don't see it as victim blaming either.

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to know why you're being summoned to the tour bus- without your boyfriend who is told he's not welcome.
The lead singer for Nickelback tried this with my buddies wife several years ago. She told him to F off!

    Who cares, seriously lol
  • Yah... their apathy towards themselves has beaten me down. I'm done with these guys at the moment.

Poosifer (terrible). APC (not quite terrible... but by no means Tool. Maynard's level of energy for those sub rate bands ticks me off. Like get serious: you're choosing to hang around in the minor leagues whereas you could be rockin' the big leagues with half the effort you've dedicated to the crap bands.

    Yah. I went there.

Dont worry, they are saving it so they can cash in next year on the festival circuit when they do finally release an album and "make the comeback"

Saw them in Camden 20 years ago at Lollapalooza, they blew me away. Saw them a few years ago in Camden and they played less than 90 minutes. Walked away very dissatisfied
  • No news?  Of course not...

    Carry on.

Is this the first time Maynard confirmed a release year? I have not been following for awhile.

    Album update on Youtube.
  • I'll believe it when I see it.
I saw Tool about 3 years ago, Maynard looked so apathetic, was a let down.

When I saw them I was so :dizzy:  that could be a monkey singing that I wouldn´t notice.
I was singing myself from the begining to the end :triumph:
I really love this band and one day, because an absolute chance, I stopped Adam Jones and told him I saw them life in Spain and he
start to scream me : Gasol, Gasol!! ( He is a hardcore LA Lakers fan).

I don´t know how is he but he looked pretty charming guy to me at that time.

  • Yup.

Tired of the rumours and hints and all the other goofy stuff that used to keep my interest.

    * I haven't clicked on the link, but are we sure it's not a veiled Poosifer promotion? Or APC? You know... the two crappy bands that ride on Tool's coat tails?

Album ‘forthcoming’, at least a month is mentioned, my thinking is that artwork is all done too. Prob takes as long for their art work than recording and mixing.

  • I think we’re in for a major Tool rush in the near future.

    1. Album
    2. Re-releases of older albums on vinyl
    3. Shows

I’m anxiously waiting for those US dates to get announced... Might take the VIP plunge for the next Boston show if it suits my schedule.

& yeah, I’m definitely looking forward to the album too, but it happens when it happens. I stopped worrying about it a long time ago.

You thinking east coast dates this year? I have been out of the loop with them lately but know they are doing some festivals and a Europe tour.

I haven’t heard anything more than you, but I assume there’ll be a full fledged North American tour supporting the album.
