Is is safe to say Kong is the best/most desirable poster ever

My opinion is yes to both.

I think the reason why is because the subject matter of this poster being a classic game most of us grew up with, plus the fact it has great subtle references to New York City. Also, I think the fact that so little were made and sold at the venue only increases its desirability.

Other posters may have nicer art, or may be more "rare" or "expensive" (not too many, but some fetch more than the $500-$600), but DK is the one every collector wants.

What does everyone else think? If you don't think the best/most desirable is DK then what is?

Not even close. Way too many 96's and 98's are more desirable.

I think Kong is more universally desired. The 98s have that "my first show" thing going for them.

Not even close for me. I've never gotten the draw with the Kong poster...is it nostalgia for the game? Glad it makes so many people happy, though!

I wouldn't even place it in my top 20 in terms of how much I desire it personally, but a lot of people sure seem to go ape shit over it. =)

Post 1998 era I would agree. But as others have said the nineties produced many top notch prints that are really tough to find.

True. But are they so rare people don't know of them? You don't see too much activity on these boards, ebeans, or eBay for posters pre-98.

98's hardly ever show up here. Few mega-million $$ PJ estate sales have had them. Outside of that....not alot.
