Anyone do a test run yet on the sound of these reissues vs the originals?

Got Yield Today. Listening now. Sounds good, but will give it a more focused listen later and A/B with the original US pressing.

It is pressed at MPO, which is little different. They had been using GZ Media.

    Yield, Runout information:
    Side 1 - 16-0157 NL A 88985303661 Kr SST MPO
    Side 2 - 16-0157 NL B 88985303661 Kr SST MPO

Pressed at - MPO in France
Cut at - SST Brüggemann GmbH
    Cut By - Daniel Krieger

Kinda disappointed Bob Ludwig didn't cut it. He must have mastered the 192khz files and they were then cut at SST in Germany.

the yield reissue sounds great! question, did the original pressing have hummus on it? I was bummed it didn't make the new cut.

The only ones I can find in my collection are the new Dixie Chicks issued LPs. They were pressed at MPO and cut by him.

MPO also pressed the new DMB records. Crash was great, but again it was an all analog pressing cut by Chris Bellman.

My initial thought is its a little loud, but I will take a more active listen this weekend when I have time.

Pretty sure yield was recorded digitally anyway - so the Original CD sounds pretty dang good.....

    Negative
And so you see, I have come to doubt

I'm a bit annoyed (with myself) that I ordered on impulse through 10C when the announcement was made - I wasn't sure if it was limited or 10c edition.
Now my local record store has them, in stock, cheaper and with no customs or shipping.
Oh well, you live and learn,

Shipping innovations tracking sucks. The ups page still says that yield is scheduled to be delivered yesterday... My hands are shaking, my nails are bit off.

Saw them at my local FYE while looking for their exclusive singles pack. I was holding out for a Super Deluxe box, but I feel I have to go back tomorrow and pick them up when they put them out.

Why can't they ship with something that takes less than 2 weeks? The TMR shipping with the easiest thing I've ever dealt with/paid for, and it was still cheaper than 10c.
