I talked to Darren McCarty the other day and he said the Chelios told him he thought it was gonna be Journey closing the Joe. But who knows.

just a heads up the Lollapalooza Chicago lineup drops in about 16 hrs. 6AM central. Unlikely, I know... but my fingers are crossed regardless. Lolla 07 was a magical time for me, first time in a GA Pearl Jam crowd and realized the brilliance of My Morning Jacket. 4 day passes are apparently sold out already though

Why do so many people think PJ should close the Joe?
Just because they closed the spectrum doesn't mean they are the go to band to close dilapidated arenas.
It is Detroit afterall. Shouldn't the closing event be Bob Seger or Kid Rock or Ted Nugent or Iggy Pop?

I thought Kid Rock was opening up the new Little Ceasars arena
Kid Rock should just open up a new Little Ceasars somewhere. I'd buy a pizza from him, not an album though.

    You'll get good karma.

I made my first show in 2003. I kept paying my dues and then made a show in 2010. I made another in 2014 and then my name was drawn as one of the 10C winners for suite tickets at Fenway 2. I went to bed one night not having any plans for the 2016 tour and woke up to a "You're a winner!" email.

Needless to say that day was quite crazy, but travel plans were hastily arranged.

Stay positive and your time is coming.

Naw, there's still Outside Lands which they haven't played since 2009, and ACL (though they were there in 2014), Voodoo (2013), and some other smaller festivals (Pemberton, etc)..but I'm doubtful of any shows this shows this summer. Fingers crossed for Nov/Dec west coast tour.

Both PJ & Soundgarden have not played Lolla in quite some time now... I was really hoping that one would show. The lineup is solid, though having been five out of the past six years there really aren't any bands that would be new to me. Probably just going to do aftershows this year.

I think there's no real PJ touring coming this year. Maybe an EV Fall tour or a handful more TOTD dates. Based on nothing but my guesses. And I'd be pretty happy with either of those.

I'd be up for some EV dates here in the states. Anything is better than nothing.

I still get so happy when I think back to Fenway last year. Always hoping for dates but if nothing comes this year I can't be too disappointed.

    I think I've trained her well B)

Feel the exact same way about Wrigley. Such an awesome weekend and experience. With the buildup leading to the show, it definitely lived up to it!

That's funny! Just this morning my husband mentioned that Eddie was singing in his dream last night. Doesn't know what song but it was an angry, loud song. He was also wondering when the next tour will start.
