Like..no other city even comes close. I have been in the same row with someone who was peeing on the seat in front of them, several times had people throw up in the rows around me. Lots of fights. Not sure whats in the water there in philly.

Those girls all tarted out wearing hooker heels and Kelly Bundy dresses, with a flannel to "make it grunge", so drunk they can't walk without hanging on to each other, swaying and swerving across the concourse, all while staring at or bellowing into a phone the size of a damn etch a sketch...

    THIS!

I seen something similar in KY. I just kept thinking are they confused? We aren't at a club. Fake.
Oh please let it rain today.

I definitely agree. They are in cities everywhere, but were out in full force last night in Philly. I have been to shows in Canada, US, UK, Australia, etc... and have been waiting years to hear All or None. It was a completely religious experience to hear it last night. I was so grateful. However, the Evenbros behind me talked the entire time, and the Evenbro/ho couple in front were too busy taking selfies (which they did all night except when the played Eflo, Alive, Last Kiss, Betterman, and the Star Spangled Banner...everything else was completely lost on them). We had to stand in the aisle to get some peace so that we could hear All or None.

EvenBros and EvenHos. I love it. I'm using these phrases now.

Also, 100% love the vaping at shows. SO MUCH BETTER that the cloud of stank ass weed that sits above your head. I wish everyone who was lighting up at shows would vape. It's so much more pleasant for those of us around you who don't wanna breathe your second hand lol

While I am truly sorry to hear about your experience(s), I was fully expecting it to be far worse than what I ended up seeing around me, to be perfectly honest. Being a Friday night show, and all. I think the shitty weather keeping the tailgating at a minimum, the entire computer system going down for the vendors, and the whole start of the show being all of Ten, it kept things to a minimum. Could have been a nightmare with the perfect storm.
Edit: EvenBros is my favorite new thing!!!

I like to get drunk and sometimes stoned at most of the shows PJ or otherwise. That being said I don't go overboard and get fall down slobbery drunk and ruin other peoples experience.

Yea I'll be in 200 level on Monday and if a drunk guy falls on me like that I'm pressing charges against him AND suing the venue. No patience for "Even-Bros" (that is going into my regular vocabulary lol)

    Well, that escalated quickly.

I can't recall Eddie ever puking, pissing, passing out, or falling on someone, so yeah, buzzed is one thing, hammered is another.

yup. No reason why security shouldn't b able to spot and escort out anyone that can barely walk as they enter the venue.

and honestly no one has any right to fuck up your good time by being publicly intox. if you're not going to take matters into your own hands, (recommended..the not part) security should be alerted and drunks should be removed. yellowcoats live for that shit.

    It's not a Philly thing.
It's not a Pearl Jam fan thing.
It's a concert thing. Every American rock concert. In every city.

The tailgating environment in Philly is more conducive to fans being absolutely trashed before the doors even open so I'm going to go with no here, especially since the band started doing strictly arena shows. Most cities don't have that kind of setup.

same thing almost happened to me at a Foo Fighters concert last summer, although the guy fell on the guy to the left of me. Some people can't control themselves, they don't know when to stop drinking until that moment has been long since past.

Philly n2 we were in 221A row 1...low plexi rail...kinda scary. Pre-show a woman, let's just say over 55 (I"m almost there) who was shit-faced drunk with a lit cigarette in her hand comes into to row to hassle a younger woman who asked her to put the cigarette out (since duhhhhhhhh, you're inside NO SMOKING). The woman kept advancing on the other, getting in her face and I thought she may go over the edge. The bozos (men I'm speaking of) in the row behind did nothing ...myself (female) and my other female friend got between the drunk and the other, forcing her away from the edge. Security eventually intervened.

FUNNIEST PART: she was pointing her finger at the younger woman screamning "you younger fans think you are so entitiled..I've been a fan since 1982!!"

In London 2013, two drunks in the row behind us decided to get in a punch up during RITFW. Needless to say, up until this point, it was a great show.

Yea, I was in a urinal line 7 dudes deep when some #EvenBros started pissing in sinks... which is when I knew it was time to find another restroom. It was pretty funny to hear guys in line heckling the guys trying to pee though ("Concentrate!!" "Think about Waterfalls!!" "Blow on it!!!", etc LOL)

When i vape with weed i still blow out smoke. Is there some kind of totally smokeless vape pen i haven't heard about?? If so, what are people inhaling??

Anyway, yes, drunks are the worst! I had Neil Young almost ruined by some stupid drunk cow right behind me when i was on the rail. She was the most obnoxious, awful person of all time and she just wouldn't shut the fuck up. She also started making fun of everyone near her who was wearing earplugs. Total loser.
I stay straight and sober for PJ shows. Who needs booze or drugs when you're at a PJ show?? It's not like one has to try and make it more fun. A PJ show is already maxed out on fun without it, lol.
