I'm giving Slater elite status in my opinion and maybe I'm coming around a little later than most of you other poster freaks with this, but he'svery consistent at turning out good products and has the best method of selling of all.

Best method of selling? Yes
Elite status? Absolutely not in my opinion. I think Slater's prints are boring and I hate how he uses photographs in his posters. No different than Ames clip art. I personally think that Slater is the bottom of the barrell when it comes to poster design. He is a great guy though and keeps his posters cheap. He is hit or miss (mostly miss)

I've gone back and got quite a few of his items (Interpol (amazing!), Decemberists, Pearl Jam/CCFA, Bloc Party) oh, and Radiohead ... some of them are still cheap, that Decemberists print is a *steal* at $30, it's really cool in person (so much so that I got the blue variant as well)
There are two out there that I really like that I just can't pull the trigger on Editors (it's red stripe add essentially) and Trey Anatasio (I just don't like his music but I love the symetry of that card print.
And of course, The Arcade Fire print, which, I think I better suck it up and pay $200 for because it'll never go down in price. One site has it on sale for $500!
I like what I see in the previews, new Interpol looks great.
Thaks for the heads up, I didn't get an e-mail on this.

I will also have variants available for a few of these prints and they
will pop on my site when the others go on sale.
The shopping cart on my site is still not functional so if you plan on
ordering multiple prints email me about and Kristie will work it out
with you.
Look for prints coming up for Smashing Pumpkins, Tori Amos, Bloc
Party, Van Halen and *maybe* a Neil Young. I'll keep my fingers
crossed for that one.
I will talk to ya'll soon. Thanks to all those who came out for
Flatstock in Seattle a few weeks ago. We had a blast, and Seattle is
without a doubt in our top 3 favorite US cities for vacationing.
Thanks for the details, now why does he have the best system for selling his prints?
I assume that comment was because ......................
His site doesn't crash
He sells off his stuff somewhat quickly after the shows are over
His site doesn't crash
His shipping is fantastic (quick, in sturdy tube, with mylar sleeve)
... and, his site ..... ah, you know ...

Oh well, so what if they use clip art or photos it's the overall appeal IMO. Besides, I'm looking over his inventory and the examples i see are mostly hand drawn especially the older posters.
I just disagree.... Nope. Nahh. *shakes head makes face*

Someone had mentioned cheap or that they were a good deal, however $50 for an edition of 300 is not as cheap as others.
yeah when he thinks it will be popular he bumps the price ... which... good for him since it takes money from the flippers ... but i wouldn't say cheap
i bought the clerks gold print for $100 .. at the time it was out of 40
then Kevin Smith wanted a 2nd run... so they were made and priced at $30
they sold like used tampons... and 74 of them are still available for $30
i still enjoy mine... but i'd rather have a 2nd edition one and $70 in my pocket... the ones i hang/keep... i go for the image... not the rarity of posters
the ones i hang/keep... i go for the image... not the rarity of posters
Agreed... I buy what I like, not what I think I can make money on, or what might appreciate...
Speaking of recent purchases, did anyone get the QOTSA Hynes Alpine Valley... Now that's a cool poster... I picked up a regular of 150 and a variant of 15 that's gold/redish that looks great on the web, can't wait for it to arrive so I can see it in person...
The money I put aside for Brad's sale has gone poof... Gotta save up a bit more now...

also picked up the Wolfmother ....
