  • After reading that post and checking out his myspace, I would definitely use the word stalker. He camps outside the 10 Club waiting for Brad to come out. As if that wasn't enough, check out some of the pictures on his Myspace. his one in particular creeps me out:

Also note how thrilled Pacino and Newman look to be taking pictures with him.

yeah, he is practically crawling into the car with newman and walter peyton.

psycho much? a much too much.
  • the site should launch this week...i don't want to say a time for certain, because as we know, it's fallen through in the past.

I still have hawaii's, dusseldorfs, copenhagen, vics, and more...

I honestly don't understand why someone would spend $450 - 600 on the hawaii poster.

The main reason i didn't want to go to flatstock was for everything that has transpired. People were paying kids to come up and buy posters for them, and it wasn't until that had happened multiple times amongst the chaos of the first day that we caught on to it. It's all overwhelmeing and disheartening and ugly. And i am doing my best not to focus on the few greedy, selfish assholes who are ruining this for everyone...especially me. I love making art, and feel very fortunate to make a living doing so, and a few individuals are taking something i love and putting a cancer on it, for their own empty financial profit. i am doing my best to stay positive about human beings as a species, but it's tough when you are constantly reminded at how ugly human beings can be.

For the most part, i am done. I will always make art and have a desire to make art, but i am done wasting any more time with the ugliness of human greed and the unfounded sense of entitlemnet some people have and the bombardment of everyone's opinions on what i should be doing. I appreciate all the support from the truly genuine people who just appreciate my posters for what they are, a piece of art to commemorate a show they went to. It's foolish of me to even be here right now reading any of this, and further contributing to it, it only causes my focus to remain on an ugly subject matter. Message boards are not healthy, productive places.

the site should be up this week...

  • sorry to hear that you have been soured BK. i suppose i would be too by some of those bastards.

hopefully the true goodness that is most of the people who purchase your posters can out weigh the negative of some of those douches.

It saddens me to know that you are feeling this way because "supposed fans" are ruining the art that you put so much time and effort into making. I know scalping will never go away as long as there is a market for it but, please brad, try not to let these fuckers get to you. Through your art you make so many people happy and don't ever stop.

I don't feel like a hypocrate saying that ebay sellers are pure and utter scalpers even though I have bought at extremely inflated prices, I wanted the art.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, people on this board need to get some perspective in their lives and realise that having or not having a poster is not the end of the world and there are far more important things in this world to be getting worked up about.

Thanks for the info brad and I look forward to the sale, and hopefully I'll be lucky enough to get the poster I want.

    Peace :D

Thanks for the update, hope all goes well with the launch, not for us but for you as it sounds like you do not need anymore frustrations or headaches from doing something that you love and that you have the talent to do.

Stay positive some of us just want you art, to frame and display with a sence of pleasure and are not in it to make a profit from someones elses gift of talent.

    Thanks for your hard work.

  • Money makes people do stupid things. Best of luck with your site launch. There really are good people out there, just like in elementary school a few naughty kids ruins play time for everyone.

  • Brad, sorry people have left a bad taste in your mouth. I was very happy to get to talk to you while you set up. I love your art, and the combination of your art and Pearl Jam has always been a great thing to me. Thanks for being agreat guy, It made me a very happy fan to get the 4 posters I got at Flatstock.

Glad your site will be up soon, and I hope to get to talk with you again.

    BK,

I'm a cynical biatch myself, but I choose to believe that for every one selfish, greedy, money grubbing whore who buys posters just to flip for a profit there are probably 10 true fans of the work who acquire your posters and cherish them, the thought of selling them never even entering our pretty little heads.

Yes, it's hard to see something you put your soul into being pimped away for someone else's profit, but sadly such has been the fate of artists for millenia. I hope you may find solice in the joy your work brings to the many and the knowledge that your stuff is still getting out to those who appreciate it. I personally have 5 Klausens, 1 from a show, 3 from 10 club and 1 from a trade. You may not see or hear about that as often as you hear about the flippers, but it happens.

    Peace,
    KJ
  • wow... there are always a few people that ruin things for others by being greedy , but i know that there are so many more people that are not that way.

most of us just want to enjoy the art and remember the good times we had at shows :)

i really appreciate the work you do and look forward to more :)

    good luck with the website...

  • Brad,
You should be flattered. You're right, message boards are kinda psycho babble, certainly lower than the lowest tabloids and you shouldn't let anything said here or anywhere else discourage you and your art. It's because you're among the elite artists in this genre that these situations occur. I hope you aren't serious. That would be a shame.

Its sad that poster flippers have become almost as bad as ticket scalpers, making things difficult to attain for loyal fans. But capitalism is far from perfect.
Take some solace Brad in the fact that there are certainly more people who buy your work for themselves because they love the art and what it commemorates to them than there are greedy flipper types.

Good luck with site launch trey.

here's a little bit about why seattlebatman and brad seem to know each other. i won't go so far as to say "stalker".....read what he has posted about it here.

I am not sure what is more bothersome.... that this person is a complete stalker chasing people around town.......... or that eveything in that post is a lie about where they get the posters they sell.......

Definately see that there is a postive side to all of this and it is hard to see cause we all tend to focus on the negative..... and realize anything that has the name pearl jam on it will bring out the worst in some people.

I for one am looking forwarded to see some of your non PJ stuff come out in particular your art prints...... (so don't drop out of the modern rock art print sub) ;)

that was posted back in february. don't know where he was getting them then, but at least that post wasn't about the posters he currently has up on ebay. it's obvious this time he used his kids to buy multiples. it's people like seattlebatman that have brad in a funk
