I hate that people that didn't attend the show buy up the A/P's... I understand collecting and all that good stuff, but it does suck for those that actually attended the event the poster was actually made for

In my experience, for the most part, checking out is always a breeze. The challenge lies in your click being recognized amog the first 100 so you can add the poster to your cart. ;)

Agreed, but this is the only way to be able to get the shows you attend anymore. It sucks trust me I know. I wont go pay 200-250 bucks for a poster when I can buy one and then trade for it.

I have been screwed out on many klaussens before. I used to be young and dumb and pay the crazy prices.

you must be a proposed member of the grove or you have some owl prints on deck BRADLEY. lol

    rssesq said:

owls= illuminati shit, bohemian grove, etch etch, ALWAYS WATCHING YOU

Owls don't belong to any man made organization. Owls are symbols of wisdom because they can see in the dark, they can see what others cannot.

Do the evil bastards at Bohemian Grove have an owl as their logo, yes, but they didn't invent the owl, nor do they own any sort of copyright or ownership to the imagery of owls.

It'd be the same as saying the Chicago Bulls are a part of Wall Street because Wall Street has that big bull statue and any use of a bull is a symbol for wall street. Or saying Pink Floyd were promoting the "gay agenda" because they have a rainbow on the cover of Dark Side of the Moon. The rainbow / colors of the visible spectrum is a principle of nature and has existed long before anyone would ever know what LGBT would stand for. So to claim that any use of an owl instantly means it's some sort of illuminati reference is the same thing, the owl has existed far longer then a group of humans who might refer to themselves as the illuminati.

Owls are a sacred, majestic, mysterious animal, and we should not allow the use of an owl as the logo of Bohemian Grove taint and take over the entire species of owls and their rich history of symbology. We should not just surrender imagery over to the evil pricks who ruin it and then we proclaim it's theirs now and for forever, we should take it back, it does not belong to them.

Owls are a part of nature, they have zero to do with the evil fucks ruining the world.

Pearl Jam David Welker New York Poster

I hope the folks at Madison Square Garden in New York were able to fix the lid on that place after Pearl Jam blew if off last night. Because they are about to do it again tonight for another sold out concert.

David Welker did the poster for tonight and the dragons just might do it as well.

I talked to David about the design:

When I listen to Pearl Jam and when think of Pearl Jam I am struck by the raw power and intensity of their delivery, their stage presence, their message and their unrivaled positivity. When I got the call from the band to do this poster it was just after Chinese New Year. I live very close to Chinatown here in New York and in my neighborhood there were parades and fireworks and dragons in the streets. I've been drawing and painting dragons for years. Astrologically I am a dragon. I have an obsession with the Chinese motif as well as the modern 20th Century Japanese monster movie incarnation of the dragon. For years I've wanted to do my interpretation of two intertwined dragons locked in motion together. This to me was a perfect representation of Pearl Jam's relationship to its fans. A Pearl Jam concert is very much about the bands involvement and inclusion of the audience in their music. The show itself becomes a huge participation. A joint effort. The fans sing every song along with Eddie Vedder and they do a very good job of extending the power of his voice. The whole experience of a Pearl Jam concert is this huge, powerful collaboration of energy. The dragon is a representation of pure, energy. Two dragons intertwined is an exponential magnification of this power and intensity. And when they both descend and collide into an amazing city like New York the experience is truly powerful. Even though the dragons may seem in one moment dangerous and menacing the city surges on around them, stopping to observe their awesome magnitude, unafraid of being crushed. In the next moment they will be gone.

Artist Edition on sale details coming soon.
