I hate the mail....Thomas was supposed to be delivered today. Somehow seems like it has been stuck in St Paul for 2 days or in transit for 2 days. Apparently my buddy 2 towns over got his today. So just the waiting is driving me mad now. Keep checking for movement and nothing.
I don't doubt it, there have been secret super limited variants before. I'd be interested to see the back of the print with the hologram sticker before placing a bid.
So I was very curious about the poster link above, and just got email response from Faile that that poster is actually a misprint, missing a color, and NOT a variant.

That's exactly what I heard too. A printing issue that didn't print certain colors.

Someone on Facebook had a poster that had white skin color for Harry Carey and Molly Ringwald rather than the more tan flesh tone.
Just a missing color printing error, no big deal and quite truthfully, not worth a dime over the regular edition!

Yeah, I saw quite a few misprints when I went thru the tent. There was one missing the black ink; everything that is supposed to be black was reddish brown. This one here appears to be missing green & maroon.
If anyone wants to unload a regular Faile Ap when they finally come, I have managed to collect all the other APs, and need that one. I have a regular show to trade if interested. Thanks

How many of the Thomas Variants came damaged? I bought mine through a second source unfortunately and have yet to received it. Just curious how many made it and stayed mint?

Can't say how many were damaged. But from a couple people who received theirs damaged, all the variants were sent out, and no extras were available for replacement damaged ones. So, if you bought it off the secondary market, they should have received it already, damaged or not.
Arrived WI minty fresh! I did find it odd that he rolled the poster print side out.
He did the same with the Bonnaroo AP's as well.
And with his South America '15 poster. Tom Whalen also ships his prints like that too.
Many galleries and artists will tell you that technically that's the proper way to roll a screen print since it is not putting as much pressure on the inks, whereas rolling image-side in is crushing the inks together. Rolling it image-side out also prevents the possibility of the bottom edge of the print or kraft paper from rubbing against the print and scuffing it. If the image is on the outside of the roll, that can't happen.
I personally don't care either way. Both are acceptable, but use tissue paper to cover the image if rolling image-in to prevent scuffing.

Lucky, my reg landed yesterday damaged.. His shipping sucks.. 2 pieces of craft overlapping, rather than 1 piece. Shifted around in the tube and one side is crushed. Luckily I got a response this morning that he would replace. So, it seems he has some extra's of the regs this time.

That sucks it arrived damaged. Good to hear he has a replacement for you. With him sending out 300 of them, hope he doesn't have as much trouble with these as the variants. I feel bad for Steve, but, I've never seen so many issues from shipping a poster/print ever. It isn't rocket science to ship them.

Real? Could be worth a fortune if it is.
