Just got an email from Brian Fallon store. There is a delay that will result in the colored vinyl not shipping for another 1-2 weeks. WTF.
Oh shit. Didn't get that email yet, but I assume I'll be getting the same email soon. Brutal. Feels like they started taking pre-orders for this album like a year ago....can't believe these weren't ready in time. Sucks.
It wasn’t a stock email. I inquired about when it would ship and that was the response. Had I not asked, they probably wouldn’t have sent an email saying there is a delay.
I had sent an email last week and they responded by telling me that my Frank Turner album was delayed. I replied back saying I was looking for an update on Brian Fallon album and they just responded this morning saying that it is preparing to ship and should be shipping soon. Who knows what is going on over there.
I'm really enjoying this album. Etta James, Proof of Life, Little Nightmares, Sleepwalker, Watson, and See You On The Other Side are my favorites. Proof of Life, with a solid placement in TV, could be a huge song. I love the ending to Little Nightmares so much...it's subtle and can mess with your head. Watson might be the underrated album on the track. The slide guitar is wonderful. The chorus is fantastic. It flows really well into the last track. Great album. I'm sorry everyone is having issues w/ the vinyl. I've been out of the loop lately, but like someone said, it's quite similar to how the 45Club went. Good thing he keeps chiming out great music. That makes it easier to forgive.
So far really like the new record, but not sure its on the same level for me as the last. I feel Smoke, Rosemary, Red Lights and Long Drives are 4 of the best songs ever by any artist. There is nothing on here to that level. That said Etta James is the highlight so far. Beautiful song. Also really liking Little Nightmares, Proof of Life, My Name is Night, Watson and See you on the other side. The only song I am not really into is Sleepwalkers and If your prayers go to heaven. Overall very good, cant wait to see it live.
Also totally forgot I ordered the vinyl, lol. I aways do for FB/Gaslight but thought I didn't since it was only the pack with the poster and I dont usually order those, but got shipping notice yesterday so I guess I did.
Vinyl and signed poster were supposed to be delivered today, will update after work. I also saw on twitter or instagram his setlist from what I believe was the first show of the tour last night. It looked pretty solid, seemed to hit both solo albums, Horrible Crowes, and a TGA song or two if memory serves me correctly
was there last night for thr first show. sounds wasnt great in the venue but brian was in a great mood, lots of talking and the new songs sound great, only exception is "prayers" which while being a good song doesnt seem to come across as well live.

I got the vinyl and signed poster last week. Vinyl is great, but they didn't package the poster very well....wasn't wrapped up at all. Just a couple of rubber bands that kinda messed up the edges of the poster.

Just opened mine, same thing, kinda sucks but the vinyl looks great. The packing is HUGE with the double LP in one side and the cards in the other.
How does it sound? Will listen tonight. And any idea which cards are which songs?

Yeah the jacket is very weird. Kinda flimsy. Feel like it's gonna get mangled. The single LP version jacket is much better quality.
On side note he covered I Still Haven't Found What I'm looking For tonight and the short clip I saw looked amazing
Picked up the black 45 rom version while I wait on the red deluxe to arrive. Sounds good, poor sleeve... still loving Etta James and Watson!

Sleepwalkers is really good....I've been spinning this one a lot lately. My only complaint is that I wish they fit it all on 1 LP....I gotta get up off my lazy ass every 3 songs and flip the record! Can't wait to see him live in a few weeks.

I'm loving Sleepwalkers too! I've also been listening to Elsie a lot.
Went to 2 shows last week and heading to Denver on Friday for another. Both were outstanding. Love the new record, though I don't think it "tops" Painkillers. Good in its own way. "If Your Prayer Don't Get to Heaven" is the exact same riff as those esurance commercials though.......
"All I Ever Knew" available now in print and digital formats at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and iBooks.

Call me crazy, but a lot of the riffs or melodies remind me of other stuff. There are different Gaslight or HC songs that pop into my head when I hear some of the solo stuff. I can't think of any examples right now...but I'll update.

The running joke on the Dimestore Saint's forum was "I love the new lyrics for Red at Night" when See You on the Other Side was released. Bryan definitely has some favorite chord changes and patterns. Still excited to see him in a couple weeks though.
I drove 2.5 hours to see him in Kansas City on Saturday night only to be told at the door that he was stuck in the Denver snow! I was looking forward to seeing him but I'll catch him next time around.

Caught Brian last night in Minneapolis. Great as always and the sound/mix in the venue is really good. The set was heavy on the new album with a few from Painkillers and Horrible Crows. Also really nice to hear the '59 Sound even as a solo piano number. He was a bit chatty though.
He was chattier than usual. Could have been a few more of those Sam Adams before the show too. And whoever on the balcony was annoying the shit out of him too. Show was great as always.
