Laughable. And really laughable when, arguably, the most intelligent Trump supporters on this board try to sell a weary and wise public voted for Trump to shake up the establishment. How is this shaking up the establishment? This is a private party reserved for the firmly established. There's been no change and in my mind... situations like this make the entire debacle even more grotesque.wndowpayne said:
I'll say it again in the event it was missed: Trump was elected because half of the population are simple fools and they were more enthusiastic physically voting. Don't watch that before bed, I made that mistake last night and was so inspired, I was up until 430am building my kid a tree house. Once I finish watching my mate on below deck tonight, I'll head to the man cave, crank the speakers and rewatch that video.

If a CNN "personality" were colluding with the Clinton campaign by feeding them debate questions hosted by CNN, would you suspect the one working directly with the campaign or the one not working with the campaign?Degeneratefk said:

I'm a neutral observer. I'm just sitting back saying "Wow. That dipshit actually got elected." And then I typically laugh and shake my head. Maybe make a Cletus joke or two.
You're a neutral observer as well too, eh? People around here probably don't know that given the way you seem to salivate over the idea of him and his orangeness."My brain's a good brain!"0 -
Sorry... Fan...
For the record: has this been one long running monologue of yours with the intent to mock Trump and his supporters...
... or are you actually this smitten with him?

I am smitten w/ President-elect Trump only when he gets my vote.

When the forward thinking are focusing their attention on the person who is going to the white house and changing their lives, here you are worrying about one person passing a debate question to a failed campaign.
You're living in the past, that will have no relevance on your future.

The whole transition process is being treated like an episode of celebrity apprentice. Trump tosses out random names and purposely incites people just for the hell of it. Somebody mentioned it earlier, but he does these things to get a rise out of the left and media and then acts like he never actually was going to do what was implied. He's treating it all like a reality show. I have no doubt that the whole Conway/Romney/Giulianni disagreement was a stunt to see how people reacted. It's sickening to see a president act in such a juvenile manner.
It's a hopeless situation...0 -

Did you include Syrian and Libyan deaths in these numbers?Halifax2TheMax said:Only a neocon like BS would try to convince you that progress hasn't been made by withdrawing US troops from Iraq and subsequently going back in with support of a much lighter US footprint, in the form of special forces and trainers and encouraging the Iraqi's to fight for their country than his proclaimed hard and heavy occupation of 170,000+ that he's advocated for. Question is, will Trump invade Iraq? Iran? and/or Syria to eradicate ISIS and radical Islam as he promised to do? If not, how will he keep his campaign promise?
Comparing Iraqi civilian deaths in the 6 years of the Bush Administration to the 6 and 8 years of the Obama Administration, we can see that progress was made:
2003-2008 Bush: 105,934
2009-2014 Obama: 48,341. Add 2015 and 2016 under Obama: 81,007. Still a difference of 24,927.
https://www.statista.com/statistics/269729/documented-civilian-deaths-in-iraq-war-since-2003/
IMHO, even one Iraqi death is too many for a war that wasn't necessary, started under false pretenses and was poorly executed.
Lets take a look at US casualties while were at it:
2003-2008 Bush: 4,222
2009-2012 Obama: 264
And the drain on the US Treasury:
2003-2008 Bush: $589.3 Billion
2009-2012 Obama: $218.1 Billion
https://www.statista.com/statistics/269827/iraq-war-spending-and-number-us-soldier-fatalities/
Remove either the first two or last two years from the Bush years and the casualties and cost to the treasury are still more under Bush.
Now, who's decision came with more terrible consequences both immediate and in the aftermath? And who opened Pandora's Box or started the "controlled burn" as you so pleasantly referred to waging war on innocents?0 -
