give them a break. They lost a couple close people this year and I'm sure a stupid 45 is not on their priority list right now. We will get it when we get it.

To add, I would say that the band (most of them) are still holding to their commitments that may have been set up long before, despite the heavy & tragic loss of Chris. So some of the folks clamoring for their promised single aren't being as insensitive as your post insinuates?
We saw your post. We apologize for the delay. The 2016 Ten Club Single & Deep Magazine have not yet been sent.
There was a note in the May 10c Newsletter as well as the 10c Newsletter that went out on July 10th.

Please know that the Band still makes the annual Ten Club Single & Deep Magazine for the fan club. These will be shipped out automatically when they are finished. You'll know that the 2016 Ten Club Single & Deep Magazine are on their way when the completed digital copies are made available to you on your [DOWNLOADS](https://pearljam.com/ten-club/downloads) page.
One, I'm guessing the band has little to do with the production of the single at this point beyond giving s thumbs up to their favorite idea. and yes, 2017 was a bad year for them for personal loss. But again, I doubt the band participates largely with the single, and what does a bad 2017 have to do with 2016? its been a while since I was excited about the single put out, but with the cost of membership 4 times higher than what it was 10 years ago and a lot less touring, I think some have a right to complain about the single.

I think Jeff participates largely with the single in terms of artwork.
Let's not forget how backed up nearly all vinyl pressers are these days. Thanks a ton, RSD.
I think this is the more rationale cause. And if they are/were planning on something perhaps a bit bigger to sort of wrap up "25", then I could imagine it being a harder thing to get done.
Who knows, maybe this year they wanted to do a really cool 12" ep with 6-7 tracks and it took some time to get things lined up proper. (I mean that is just me speculating to create more anxiety, but it could happen.)
My half serious guess is still something from the rooftop at Murphy's Bleachers.

Did a holiday single come out this year? Wait, it's August, right?
One, I'm guessing the band has little to do with the production of the single at this point beyond giving s thumbs up to their favorite idea. and yes, 2017 was a bad year for them for personal loss. But again, I doubt the band participates largely with the single, and what does a bad 2017 have to do with 2016? its been a while since I was excited about the single put out, but with the cost of membership 4 times higher than what it was 10 years ago and a lot less touring, I think some have a right to complain about the single.
Agreed. Tickets and the single are the two biggest reasons people join 10c. There are people who paid for their 2016 membership in January of that year. They will be close to be getting charged for their 2018 membership by the time they get what they paid for in Jan '16. They have a legit complaint.
The loyalty to this band is so stunning. And I think that's a good thing. But if you actually take a step back and leave your Pearl Jam fan bubble, any fair arbitrator would laugh at the excuse making over this annual issue. The tolerance by many (and the attacks on anyone who dare complain) is really something to behold. Do you allow the same lengthy leash to others in your day-to-day dealings?
I do not get worked up over the issue, the single comes when it comes. It is nowhere on my radar of problems or things I think/worry about. That said, when I browse a thread like this (of which there are multiple every year), I can't help but find the situation laughable again and again. The 10C do not do a good job on this, plain and simple. It is what it is, as the saying goes...
I don't disagree, but we all know how the 10c operates, so it is what it is. Not much we can do to change it. I've been in the 10c for almost 20 years and the single coming late has been a trend for almost all of them (I think maybe 2 came somewhat close to Christmas). We'll be able to crack lots of jokes if the trend continues and they lap themselves (ie get into a position where it comes out 2 years after the year in which the membership was paid instead of 1).
Other fan clubs usually hire larger professional companies to handle their logistics. 10c is totally in house. I can respect that, but it has a few drawbacks.
Just curious, what is the time frame for an annual single to arrive? It has not been called a Holiday single for a few years, despite peoples die hard resistance to accept that. So is it in a within a calendar year? Or does the single for the 2016 member have to arrive by the end of January 2017? Anything after that is late?
...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...

I just assume it comes in the next calendar year. Like the way its been for a long time. I'll consider it late if we don't get the 2016 single in 2017.
Since they mentioned in one of the newsletters that it was being pressed, I think they should just release the MP3s so we can hear them now. Unless it is something different and they want it to be a surprise then that's cool too, just communicate something to the fanclub to manage expectations. There's just a constant trend of cryptic or teaser communication from 10C with regards to tours, releases, reissues and eventually we just find out from another source or news site.

Not anymore - there are a flood of vinyl pressers now that have come up within the last year or two. I was recently quoting pressing some vinyl for my band, and everyone I quoted with had a 6-8 week turnaround time, verified by others who already had their vinyl in hand. Other local bands I know have gotten similar results. It's not as bad as it was a couple of years ago. Sure, there are some plants that are better than others, and some of them probably do have more of a backlog, but let's be honest - none of the recent fan club singles that PJ has issued were of the recorded nature that required only the best pressing available. They've all been pretty mediocre live recordings. Obviously they have a much bigger quantity to press as well, but going on 8-1/2 months into 2017 is a bit ridiculous. Honestly, I just think it's become more of a gimmicky afterthought for them at this point, rather than something they truly love putting together.

I think with the 10c it's anytime in the year following when you paid for your membership.
Most other fan clubs I've been in ready the new merch item at the beginning of the year. Anyone that renews in Jan/Feb gets them when they're ready, but people who renew the rest of the year get mailed one right away with their renewel.
The annual single started as a Christmas single, it automatically went out at the end of the year, which means it's got a 3 or 4 business day window before it's technically a year late. I think that's why it causes issues because it started as a end of year thing and ran late. Each year it gets a little later
I still think the 10c should double up or something. Put two out back to back, or something bigger (like the '95 double) and call it for two years. Get caught up again.

Or the tenclub could think ahead and plan these things out a little. "If PJ don't do something by september so we can press the vinyl by october, we always have these two B-sides or this cool alternative take or this weird things to put out instead"
"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"
it's not the club. it's the band. one of the guys in one of the newsletters mentioned it as such. he said that Kelly Curtis reminds them around August to start thinking about it.
And it takes them a year to put it out.

I'm confused.
(But don't worry about it. That's normal.)
Or maybe it's not a single at all this year, possibly a full show or 25 yr compilation? Who knows ...we'll find out soon enough
