And is Kashmir that band that has a song about Darth Vader

NO! Kashmir is not that band band with the Darth Vader song! That would be Nephew. They're good too, but not in same league as Kashmir.
"En wanna be Darth Vader!!" (or Eddie Vedder)

    I will try Kashmir...
Somebody already recommedn me the Cabinn hotel.
It looks good but I would prefer something more romantic... and I'm ready to pay a bit more. Any idea ?:

More romantic? Ready to pay more? Try D'angleterre. Should do the trick :)

It has to be long road... please... cos it's my birthday and I haven't heard it live and it's my favouritest song and I'd cry if they opened with it... so anyone wants to see me cry, let's ask for Long Road :o:)

Hear hear!!! Kashmir is by far the best danish band ever. And leadsinger Kasper Eistrup is clearly inspired by Ed (atleast on the first records). To all that don't know them, check http://www.kashmir.dk.

Haven't stayed in any hotels in CPH, but I have heard that Cabinn is both cheap and with an OK standard. There's one just a few hundred meters away from Forum and my guess is that it'll be invaded by jammers in june. sorry, it's ok :o I got it.

Ok :o My little cousin goes mental over that song. I was just wondering if it was the same band.

And I wouldn't say no to some Long Road! It's my favourite openeer :)

I'm looking forward to this show, but I'm also a little bit nervous about it. I swore I wouldn't go back to Denmark after I was at Roskilde.. thought I would associate the country with a bad experience forever. But I feel as though I should be there. To change my mental association with Denmark :)

It's going to be fine... If the band are comfortable coming back to play then I think it's a reflection on how they trust all their fans and the venues they hire enough to give us an amazing show!

I agree... and we'll do our best to change your opinion of Denmark by showing you a great time. Obviously it's time for the band to pay their respects so the rest of us can do that too.

    You must be there, mate!

I'm going because I always associated with the victims. I was at Werchter in 2000 and felt like I was lucky to live in Belgium and not in Denmark, but still incredibly sad because they cancelled Werchter in 2000. To see them both in Copenhagen & Werchter this June should be ... well, let me just quote:

"music is one of the more healing art forms"

We're going to be there, together with the band and it's going to be a great night.

:) I often have the odd blubbing moment at a PJ show. God, it's going to be so emotional in that place!

Hmm. Imagine having those same associations with your own country and even your own hometown!
I'm so glad that the band has reached a point, where they can return to Denmark and associate it with joy. And somehow it seems that this is a very good way to show the victims (and their loved ones) respect.
I have a feeling that they'll play LBC and there's gonna be a lot of wet eyes...... It will be emotional - maybe even a bit hard - but choosing Denmark was right and we are all in for a very special night......

I remember very vividly being thankful I could physically remove myself. That I lived in another country and would'nt face daily reminders.
I'm glad they've reached this point too. It's been a while but the time feels right. *raises glass to you*

  • It`ll definetely be a special night. Very emotional. I hope PJ will remember the 9 guys who lost their lives at Roskilde with songs like Love Boat Captain and Immortality, and my favourite ballad, Man Of The Hour.
    See you there.
